The most important Challengers tournament is coming! | © Riot Games

Over the weekend, we saw some intense qualifiers for the upcoming Stage 3 Challengers 2 tournaments. Here are the teams in North America and Europe that actually made it to the top and earned a spot at the main event!

Even after a year of competitive Valorant, the two most-contested regions in the game's esports scene are still North America and Europe. Sentinels proved they're the very best at the Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik, but will they be able to do it all again in Berlin? We'll find out in September. For now, let's focus on Stage 3 Challengers 2, and the teams we can expect there.

Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3 Challengers 2: The Teams

North America

The open qualifier in North America came to an end yesterday, and we'll finally get to see some fresh blood. Teams that we thought were forgotten will once again play in the Stage 3 Challengers 2 event. Only the top four teams in the qualifier earned a spot for the tournament:

  • FaZe Clan
  • TSM
  • T1
  • Luminosity Gaming

All four teams are big organizations in the NA region, but we haven't seen them in the Valorant competitive scene recently. At least not near the highest level. The NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 main event will kick off later this month on July 29 and conclude on August 1.

Adding the four from the qualifier above to the four teams that got an automatic invite from Challengers 1, gives us the complete list of eight teams for the event:

  • Version1
  • Gen.G Esports
  • Pioneers
  • Rise
  • FaZe Clan
  • TSM
  • T1
  • Luminosity Gaming

Four of these teams will earn a spot for the NA Challengers Playoffs.

Europe

Europe's closed qualifier was just as intense and much like in NA, we'll see some new faces in the upcoming tournament. The four squads that made out of the qualifier are:

  • Alliance
  • Team Vitality
  • TENSTAR
  • Giants Gaming

Alliance had some trouble making it to the first Challengers event in Stage 3. This time, they managed to pull through. The same goes for Vitality. In the meantime, TENSTAR and Giants Gaming will be making their debut on such a high level of competitive Valorant. The eight teams for the main event are now clear.

  • Fnatic
  • Team Liquid
  • Team BDS
  • Rix.GG Thunder
  • Alliance
  • Team Vitality
  • TENSTAR
  • Giants Gaming

Fnatic and Liquid are still among the favorites to take it. Nobody expected the two top teams from Europe in Reykjavik to fall in Challengers 1, but it happened. The Stage 3 Challengers 2 main event in Europe will commence on July 28 and conclude on August 1. Unlike in the NA region, only the top two teams (instead of four) will be earning a spot for the Challengers Playoffs.
