The MTG Arena Players Finals are finally over and we have our champion! Talented German plate Kristof Prinz triumphed in the Top 8 bracket with a Four Color Reclamation deck and took home $10,000 in winnings.
This was definitely Prinz’s tournament. Playing from his home in Hannover, Germany, the champ played despite the brutal time difference in wept through Day 1 with a perfect 7-1 score. He utilized his own form of Reclamation sporting Teferi, Time Reveler, and Dovin’s Veto, to get an edge over semi-mirror decks such as Temur Reclamation, and the trick worked.
In the finals, Priz got to play against off-meta (that’s to say off-Reclamation) decks such as Riku Kumagai’s Mino Black Aggro.
Kristof’s deck looked like this:
Mainboard
2x Brazen Borrower
3x Uro, Titan Of Nature's Wrath
1x Kenrith, The Returned King
3x Teferi, Time Raveler
4x Wilderness Reclamation

1x Forest
4x Temple Garden
2x Breeding Pool

This was a big win for the German pro, especially after defeating better-known Hall of Fame players. We will keep a close eye on his career from now on.
