One thing we've always loved about Battlefield 2042 has been the new attachment system. Basically, you build a loadout with three attachments in every slot and can swap between each attachment in-game. As cool as this is, though, it does mean loadouts are more complicated, and it also means you'll really fall behind the pack if you don't have well-built loadouts. Luckily, we're here to help, and today we're going through the best loadout for Battlefield 2042's SWS-10.

Best Attachments for the SWS-10

In the table beneath, we've provided the best conventional loadout for each weapon, but we've also provided short and long-ranged focused setups. We advise you to put the "best setup" attachments in the first slot for each weapon so that when you're switching between attachments in-game, it's only one flick and not two or three to select the best all-around build.

It's hard to explain what's going on with the SWS-10, but it feels so damn satisfying, and unlike the other snipers, it feels more open to mobility. For this reason, if any of you have Kar98k or Swiss K31 experience from Warzone we'd say you try the short-range setup. Obviously, you've got to be comfortable sniping from a closer range, but it's worth it with the SWS. The all-around best setup trades off just a touch of that mobility for high-power ammunition, which should make one-hit downing people easier.

You can see the effects of these three attachment setups beneath.

Our best general setup for the SWS is one we're particularly proud of. You might want to keep mobility as high as you can and go with the short-range build as your "main", but if you're willing to sacrifice 15 handling, you can get every other stat above 90.

Note: Although the stat for the range can exceed 100, as in the long-range build, we're unsure whether anything above 100 has an effect and are still actively testing.

Best Specialist, Secondary Weapon, Throwable & Gadget for the SWS-10

Specialist: Wikus "Casper" Van Daele

Okay, we'll admit that one of the reasons we've chosen Casper is because he looks so damn cool. But seriously, he's also the perfect Specialist for a sniper. His drone can tag up enemies and alert you of nearby flankers looking to disrupt your sniping position. Perfect!

Secondary Weapon: G57

The MP28 has been impressing us, but the G57 can be slightly better for a sniper's purpose, as that added mobility can be great for quickly running into good positions. This is especially useful when an aircraft is coming your way, and you need to make it off the roof of that building in double time.

Throwable: Frag

Battlefield's huge map sizes and grand fights don't lend themselves well to any type of grenade. In smaller, tactical firefights - as seen in other games - they can be absolutely clutch, but you will rarely get good use out of them in Battlefield. Especially not the new prox sensor, which needs a serious range buff to be useful... So we've taken frags as a simple alternative; everyone knows how to use them, and on the objective at least they stand a chance of making you a kill.

Gadget: FXM 33 AA Missile

For snipers or marksmen, one of the biggest threats in Battlefield 2042 is the air support of the opposing team. No matter how great your position is, no matter how tall the building, or how seemingly inaccessible the mountain - an Apache helicopter can reach you. The FXM 33 AA Missile is one of the easiest to use and strongest gadgets in the game, and it's purpose-built to help you down that Apache before it can reach you.

Well, there you have it, folks, the complete rundown of how to build the best attachment setup and loadout for the SWS-10.
