Season 6 - the final showdown - is getting better and better. After the news of OG Gulag returning, now we've heard that the bunkers are coming back too!

The day is almost upon us, my dear friends. Verdansk's final season begins next week - Downtown's getting wrecked, Zombies & the OG Gulag are coming back. And most importantly: bunkers are going live again!

Well, not strictly true, this isn't the return of the old bunkers, we're actually getting some completely new bunkers in a WW2 theme. As described in the Season 6 blog post:

Hidden beneath Verdansk’s surface — long before the “original Verdansk bunkers” you may have explored previously — was an underground system of passageways and armaments rooms. These old German war bunkers have been barricaded off since the war’s end.

Very mysterious indeed...

When Will The Bunkers Return To Warzone?

The new WW2 bunkers will open at the start of Season 6 - which begins next week on Thursday, October 7 at 00:00 ET (05:00 BST, 06:00 CEST). Although they might be connected with a midseason event that will close or destroy them again, so we can't guarantee they're going to be live all season long.

Like keeping up to speed with all things Call of Duty?

Where Will The WW2 Bunkers Be In Verdansk?

That's the million-dollar question, and how should we open them when we find them? Well, the entrance is likely to be at the location of the newest bunker door - beneath Factory. This door has been in the game for months, but we haven't seen the other side of it. Yet.

Whether we need key-cards, codes, or some other entrance tool is unclear, but we'll have boots on the ground to check it out the moment Season 6 launches. Pop back post-launch for a complete guide on getting into the WW2 bunkers - if it's anything like last time, these things should be chock-full of loot.
