CoD Mobile Season 2 is out and brings with it a plethora of new content across the game's multiplayer and Battle Royale modes. It might be called ‘A Day of Reckoning’, but the patch notes for Season 2, as well as its new weapons, maps, and operators, are of a quality that simply cannot be reckoned with. Let's dive in.
It is, quite simply, a fabulous time to be a Call of Duty fan. With Season 2 gracing Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, console players are frothing over the new content available in the mainline series. Mobile fans, however, are often more-or-less ignored. This time around, that is certainly not the case: Season 2 of Call of Duty Mobile boasts an impressive array of new content and features.
To make this a little easier to digest, we are going to start with a brief breakdown of the new content, followed by the full and extensive patch notes for CoD Mobile Season 2.
CoD Mobile Season 2: Release Date
Season 2 of Call of Duty Mobile is already out, and all of the content we discuss here is available for you to enjoy right away! We're bloody excited to jump in, with the update having gone live on March 10 in the United States, and March 11 across the rest of the world. Holy cow, hurry the f**k up, let's see what they have added!
CoD Mobile Season 2: Content – New Weapons, Game Modes, & More
CoD Mobile Season 2: New Weapons
We will be seeing two new weapons jump into CoD Mobile this season, bunny-hopping over from 2019's Modern Warfare. The SP-R 208 Marksman Rifle is optimized for a speedy reload and bolt action, and the AS VAL Russian Rifle is optimized for stealth combat.
CoD Mobile Season 2: New Maps
There are two new maps coming in Season 2! Shipment and Shoot House are both maps that were originally from Modern Warfare, but updated for CoD Mobile. Sound cool? Check out CoD Mobile's preview of Shipment...
CoD Mobile Season 2: New Game Modes
Two new game modes are coming to CoD Season 2, but only for a limited time, This is a bloody shame, because Gunfight Sniper and Tank Battle both look like super f**king awesome modes. In the former, you have to equip a sniper and then fight other players in close quarters – holy-moley! In the latter, Tank Battle, you will collect tank pieces, build a tank, and cause huge amounts of carnage.

If this doesn't sound exciting in itself, additional to the new weapons, maps, and modes, we get a new 'Napalm’ kill streak, allowing you to drop Napalm on your enemies. Oh, and if that wasn't enough: Alex from Modern Warfare is joining the fight, and Ghost is finally getting a voice. All in all... what a fantastic new Season!

New Vehicle – Cargo Truck
- The truck has only two seats for the driver and the co-driver, but the body can accommodate multiple soldiers who can move freely.
- The acceleration is slower, but equipped with high durability and provides great protection.
New Custom Airdrop Weapons
- Soldiers now can equip pistols as custom airdrop weapons.

Multiplayer
- Made major refinements to weaponry, including changes to recoil, ADS time reduction, damage levels, and more.
- Decreased the explosion range of War Machine.
- Decreased the damage reduction of War Machine operator.
- Decreased Gravity Spike damage range.
- Slightly decreased the damage of Annihilator dealt to: Stealth Chopper, XS1 Goliath, VTOL, Shield Turret and Transform shield.
- Solders equipped with Dead Silence Perk no longer hear the footstep of themselves, and the audible range of running has been decreased.
- Players are now able to jump while moving alongside a wall.
- Optimized the speed adjustment when moving alongside a wall/obstacle.
- Optimized the server tick rate.
- Optimized player’s hit box when switching among standing, crouching and prostrating.
- Increased characters’ FPS. Enemy’s movements and actions are more precise and smooth.
- Optimized sound effects based on different scenes, so that players can locate their enemies more accurately.
- Bug Fix: Fixed an issue that players might get stuck in window frames when climbing through.
- Bug Fix: Fixed an issue when Soldiers are stuck for a while after crossing the shortcut of LAUNDRY SIDEWALK in Raid.
- Bug Fix: Fixed an issue of wrong collisions in the Takeoff’s scene.
- Bug Fix: Fixed an issue of wrong collisions in the Tunisia’s scene.
Battle Royale
- Major refinements to weaponry, including work on ADS accuracy, recoil control options, and individual gun balancing improvements. The list is, yet again, super long, so we won't list everything here.
- Discarded guns will no longer show amount of remaining ammo.
- Optimized wing suit landing action.
- Optimized the server tick rate.
- Optimized player’s hit box when switching among standing, crouching and prostrating.
- Increased characters’ FPS. Enemy’s movements and actions are more precise and smooth.
- Optimized sound effects based on different scenes so that players can locate their enemies more accurately.
