The Dota 2 Epic League is about to enter playoffs tomorrow but not before we get to see the Play-In Stage today. Who'll go up and who'll go down?

It’s a few weeks before the holidays and the Dota 2 competitive scene is booming. First and foremost, there’s the currently ongoing Epic League which gathers the best teams in Europe and the CIS.

The tournament’s group stage is finally over and it’s about to enter playoffs along with the Play-In Stage.

What’s the Play-In Stage?

There were ten teams in each division during the group stage. The top four from Division 1 made it to the playoffs while the teams placed 5th to 8th dropped to the Play-In Stage. There they’ll face the top four from Division 2 and depending on their placement the eight teams will be redistributed. That'll give a chance to teams from Division 2 to climb to Division 1 and vice versa.

Epic League Playoffs

Four teams have their spot in the Division playoffs guaranteed:

  • Team Secret
  • Virtus.pro
  • Natus Vincere
  • Vikin.gg

For Division 2 it’s the bottom two from Division 1 and the 5th and 6th team from Division 2:

  • Alliance
  • mudgolems
  • ex-NiP
  • WinStrike Team

The four teams will be starting their run from the lower bracket so by the end of December 8, only two of them will be left.

Here are also the teams that’ll clash in the Play-In Stage:

  • OG
  • Team Liquid
  • Team Nigma
  • Just Error
  • Live to Win
  • Yellow Submarine
  • Spider Pigzs
  • Gambit Esports
