5. Anti-Mage - The average duration of Dota 2 games has increased in the last few patches. Anti-Mage didn't get any buffs, in fact, his agility gain was nerfed from 3.0 to 2.8 in 7.27b. So why is the hero so popular? Magnus became a viable support pick and his Empower got a decent buff to its percentages. AM is nowhere near as strong as some of the other carries on the list but his power spike can take control of the game once he has enough farm. (Image credit: Valve Corporation)
4. Sven - You've probably had the Sven experience by now. Every support player is crying on Reddit that there is no possible defense vs the angry blue man. His level 15 talent makes Storm Hammer dispel buffs (effectively serving as a Nullifier). This paired up with the hero's Aghanim Scepter upgrade makes it almost impossible to escape. Add to that the insane damage burst provided by his ultimate and you can clearly see why it's so disheartening to face him. Nerfs are coming for sven and it'll probably be with the next patch. 3. Drow Ranger - Drow is much like an AM but can come online a lot earlier. With access to an AoE silence, she can take out foes singlehandedly even early on. Her ultimate is great against heavy agility cores. The current meta is certainly leaning more towards that so Drow has no problem melting the likes of Terrorblade, Morphling, Faceless Void, AM, and others. Paired up with a Vengeful Spirit, Drow becomes a beast. She can outrange towers and take them down quickly. (Image credit: Valve Corporation)
2. Spectre - Everyone's favorite hero that just doesn't die, Spectre. Much like AM, she hasn't received buffs but nerfs. The cooldown of Haunt was increased by 20 seconds on max level and the damage on Spectral Dagger was lowered in 7.27d. Despite that, the hero managed to win the Arcana Vote of the 2020 Battle Pass. She's still pretty bad during the laning stage but the games are longer and she has more time to come online. Once the latter happens it's hard to lose the game with her. 1. Faceless Void - The undisputed meta carry of patch 7.27d is Faceless Void. He's equally popular in pubs and pro games with great win rates in both. He mostly relies on bash procs to get kills but that's not a problem. He's able to sustain a lot of damage during the laning stage thanks to his Time Walk. Void's big gamechanger is Chronosphere. His ultimate can singlehandedly win a teamfight and his Time Dilation can be just as annoying for some heroes. FV is a late-game monster that can even take out a Spectre. With access to Backtrack on level 25, he gets even harder to take down. There's a high chance he won't even get nerfed in the upcoming patch so get used to it. (Image credit: Valve Corporation)
Dota 2's patch 7.27d came out at the end of August and nothing has changed ever since. Many players are already expecting the next Dota 2 hero and a new patch to come out in late November. Today we'll be taking a quick look at the top 5 carry heroes in the current patch. If you have to carry your team, try to pick them.
