Lacy recently streamed himself working for DoorDash for a day, but the stream ended in backlash.

Lacy Faces Double Backlash After Staged DoorDash Suspension On Stream

In one of his latest streams, Lacy borrowed the account of a viewer to work for DoorDash for a day. On X he previously teased that he had “got a job,” showing a picture of himself wearing a DoorDash shirt. When he finally started delivering food, he quickly realized that the payment was… well, not optimal:

“I just went to McDonald’s, drove 10 minutes, drove another 12 minutes to the house and delivered the food to make $4!? I quit.”

Nonetheless, he continued until a message suddenly popped up on the phone the account was logged into:

“Unfortunately, due to consistently low ratings today, we have removed your driver account pursuant to the community guidelines.”

At first, it seemed like he had been suspended by DoorDash itself. However, it all turned out to be fake. Lacy later admitted that he had staged the message:

"It’s so sad that i even have to make this tweet because I’m getting threatened. My streams are for entertainment, not everything needs to be taken so seriously. This was a Doordash SKIT, I gave the guy $500 to let me use his account, and his account is fine. You can see it’s a fake screenshot if you look at my phone when i show it."

DoorDash itself also commented on the situation in a post on X:

"we got streamers being fake dashers for clout before GTA 6."

In the end, Lacy received backlash twice: once for using a viewer’s account for content and then again for faking the suspension. Even though he released a statement and quickly clarified that everything was fake, fans were not too happy with that kind of content. It may not be as bad as getting a pet without doing proper research, but it is still far from what most people would call exciting content.
