Animor returns with a new single « Together », on which the project led by Ticino-based singer Romina Kalsi (and completed by Scandinavian musicians Tobias Granbacka, Daniel Fagerudd) celebrate… Well, togetherness.

Building on straightforward acoustic guitar chords, a steady beat and cheerful background synths, the song is one of the band’s poppiest and catchiest yet and is a reflection on how we make each other grow, on how one can provide a sense of belonging to a partner. The track was recorded between Stockholm, Vaasa (Finland) and Romina’s living room in Lugano and was written by Tobias Granbacka and mixed by Daniel Fagerudd.

Animor Music, born in Lugano (Switzerland), was founded by Romina Kalsi. In her origins we find Native American, German, Hungarian and Canadian blood. She has been singing for as long as she can remember. Raised with Marvin Gaye, The Beatles, Tina Turner and Walt Disney. At the age of 10, hip-hop, soul, swing, reggae and ska became part of her musical influences, growing up with Fugees to Bob Marley to The Doors, Janis Joplin, David Bowie to Lou Reed, and these days looks up to Matt Corby, Bon Iver, Milky Chance, Andrea Bignasca, and many other great ones out there.

In 2018, she luckily met her current pianist, co-author and composer Tobias Granbacka and musician composer Daniel Fagerudd, and they started a beautiful collaboration between Stockholm and Lugano until today. Songs like Somebody Loves You, Wild Dog, and finally, the single Together, which came out on June 16, 2021. It will be accompanied by a very cute video created by Abed Kawsarani together with Denise Liardet. A production by Animor Music with Central Productions and Inmagine SA.

Attracted by the organic nature of the sounds of the instruments as well as by the influences of the digital world. With music, she wants to combine different genres and origins creating a unique flow. Universal. Unicorn.

In 2013, Romina was joined by Roberto Pianca (guitar) Fabio Besomi (guitar) creating Rocky Wood, an alt folk pop soul band, followed by Nelide Bandello (drums) and Stefano Senni (bass / double bass).

In April 2014 they made their debut with an 11-track album that led them to play in Switzerland, France and Italy, garnering positive acclaim from the public. The band closes musical relations by the end of 2018 for compatibility reasons.

In 2016, she lent her voice to Dj Aladyn, producer of the song “For Ella”, a song written in 2009 by Romina, signing a contract with Time Records (Brescia).

Still in the same year, she feels the need to undertake a solo path. She composes several songs with Roberto Pianca at her side and Zab Spencer, mixing sound engineer, who will accompany her until the studio recording of three new songs. (With Andrea Cajelli "La Sauna Records" rip)
