The oldest among us will probably still remember Age of Mythology, a unique and cool strategy game that combined different mythologies and legends in one game. But even if you're too young to remember, you should still pay attention, as Microsoft just announced Age of Mythology: Retold, a remaster of the iconic game from 2002, after fans thought they might never see the game come back.

One of the Coolest Strategy Games Ever Is Coming Back

Age of Mythology: Retold will come out on PC and will also be available on PC Game Pass. A release date wasn't announced yet, but we hope it's soon as we cannot wait to dive back into this game. The original was a spin-off from the Age of Empires series, but featuring elements from Greek, Egyptian and Norse mythology instead of historical time periods.

We might have to wait for a while until Age of Mythology: Retold comes out, but you can already check out these amazing games next month:

The remaster was announced at an anniversary event, where a console version of Age of Empires 2 was announced as well. Not much has been revealed about this remaster yet, but Michael Mann, studio head of developer World's Edge, described the release on Xbox Wire:

“We know that the Age of Mythology community has been hopefully waiting for a Definitive Edition, and we’ll be delivering. We’re working hard to bring you the glory of the original game with updated graphics, features, and more. Stay tuned for more news.”

Hype.
