Honkai Star Rail: Upcoming Limited Character Banners Leaked

In Honkai Star Rail, you can choose between several free 4-Star characters and build a fantastic team to progress through the story. However, if you played for quite some time, you will gather a good amount of Stellar Jades as quest rewards or when leveling up your roster. You can use these Stellar Jades to wish on the Warp Banner and have a chance to get a limited 5-Star character.

The current limited 5-Star character is Jing Yuan! He is a really strong AoE focused carry. Jing Yuan is a general on the Xianzhou Luofu and an excellent swords master. He learned his fantastic skills from his former teacher Jingliu, who is also going to be a playable character in the future. Nowadays, he has is own student, being Yanqing.

Some of them made it their mission to get Jong Yuan directly on release day, and even spending stupid amounts of money if they had to. If you weren't lucky enough to get any 5-Star on the limited banner by now, you should consider saving your Stellar Jades, for future banners. You won't regret it.

Honkai Star Rail: Leak Reveals Upcoming Characters

Note that Honkai Star Rail follows the same update pattern as Genshin Impact does.

• If you prefer Honkai Impact 3rd, this Honkai Impact 3rd Kiana Kaslana Figure could be right up your alley!

That means that current second half of patch 1.0, which features Jing Yuan, will last for three weeks starting on May 17 followed by a completly new patch. Luocha will be in the first half of patch 1.1 for three weeks, followed by Silver Wolf in the second half.A whole version lasts 6 weeks in total.

The next version 1.1 is expected on June 7th, 2023 and will feature the two new 5-Star units, Luocha and Silver Wolf.

Honkai Star Rail: 1.1 Banner

Let's look at the 1.1 banner lineup:

Luocha

• 5-Star
• Imaginary / ABUNDANCE

Luocha will most likely be in the second half of the next version and is pretty much ready to go! You can find him in the Xianzhou Luofu area at the moment and since all of his Skills, Traces, and Materials are public, you can check out whether you like him or prefer skipping him!

Luocha Ability Rundown

X refers to the multiplication depending on the character's level.

Basic ATK/ Thorns of the Abyss

• Deals X% of Luocha's ATK as Imaginary DMG to a target enemy.

Skill / Prayer of Abyss Flower

• After using his Skill, the target ally's HP will restored by 160 + X% of Luocha's ATK.
• Luocha gains a stack of Abyss Flower. When the HP of the target ally is X% or lower, Luocha will immediately use his skill on him, consuming no skill points.
• This effect can be triggered again after Luocha takes action two more times.

Ultimate / Death Wish

• Deals X% of Luocha's ATK as Imaginary DMG to all enemies and dispels one enemy's buff.

Talent / Circle of Life

• When Abyss Flower is stacked three times, Luocha consumes all stacks to deploy a field against the enemy. (lasts two turns)
• When an enemy in the field is attacked by an ally, this ally restores HP equal to 36 + X% of Luocha's ATK.

Technique / Mercy of a Fool

• After using his Technique, Luocha heals an ally with the lowest HP by X% of Luocha's ATK.

The name of Luocha's Light Cone will be “Echos of the Coffin”, grating himself ATK. After using his ultimate, his team will get a speed buff. (S1)

Silver Wolf

• 5-Star
• Quantum / NIHILITY

Silver Wolf will be in the first half of the 1.1 banner. She is by far the cutest hacker you will ever meet and has a unique personality. We got to play her in the very beginning of the game together with Kafka, who is coming up later in this list. She seems to be ready to play as well!

Silver Wolf Ability Rundown

X refers to the multiplication depending on the character's level.

Basic ATK / System Warning

• Deals X% of Silver Wolf's ATK as Quantum DMG to a target enemy.
• It has a X% base chance to inflict a random bug for three turns.

Skill / Allow Changes?

• Deals X% of Silver Wolf's ATK as Quantum DMG to a target enemy.
• It has a X% chance to impose the weakness of a random ally's type on the target. + Reduces target's DMG RES to that weakness type. (lasts three turns)

Ultimate / User Banned

• Deals X% of Silver Wolf's ATK as Quantum DMG to a target enemy.
• There is a 100% chance to cause Entanglement.
  → For each debuff applied, deal an additional X% of Silver Wolf's ATK as Quantum DMG, stackable up to five times.
  → The enemy's action is delayed by X%, and it receives a Quantum DoT equal to X% of Silver Wolf's ATK.

Talent / Awaiting System Response …

• Silver Wolf can create three types of Bugs: Reduce ATK by X%, reduce DEF by X% and reduce SPD by X%.
• Each time Silver Wolf attacks she has a X% chance to implant a random bug.

Technique / Force Quit Program

• Silver Wolf immediately attacks the enemy.
• After entering battle, ignores Weakness Types and reduces Toughness from all enemies.
• Enemies with their Weakness Broken in this way will trigger the Quantum Weakness Break effect.

The name of Silver Wolf's Light Cone will be “Incessant Rain”. Each time the wearer starts a turn, there is a 100% base chance to implant a random enemy with Aether Code. (S1)

Yukong

• 4-Star
• Imaginary / HARMONY

Yukong will most likely be released together with Silver Wolf in the second half of the 1.1 banner. There is no real gameplay regarding Yukong but since she is a Harmony character, she will probably be a support type character. Maybe she is supposed to be played with Silver Wolf?

She is the Head of the Sky-Faring Commission in the Xianzhou Luofu and was a well known pilot before being covered in paperwork nowadays.

Yukong Ability Rundown:

Basic ATK / Arrowslinger

• Deals X% of Yukong's ATK as Imaginary DMG to a target enemy.

Skill / Emboldening Salvo

• After using Yukong's skill, obtain two stacks of "Roaring Bowstrings":
  → Increases ATK of all allies by X%. Removes one stack of Roaring Bowstrings each turn.

Ultimate / Diving Kestrel

• Deals X% of Yukong's ATK as Imaginary DMG to a single enemy.
• When Roaring Bowstrings is active on Yukong, all allies CRIT RATE is increased by X% and CRIT DMG is increased by X%.

Talent / Seven Layers, One Arrow

• Basic AKT deals X% of Yukong's ATK as Imaginary DMG to a target enemy.
• Increases the toughness reduction DMG of this ATK by 100%.
• Can be triggered once every two turns.

Technique / Chasing the Wind

• Enter sprint mode for 20 sec and gain 35% movement speed.
• Yukong receives two stacks of Roaring Bowstrings when she enters the battlefield.

Honkai Star Rail: 1.2 Banner

Up next is the 1.2 banner lineup:

Kafka

• 5-Star
• Lightning / NIHILITY

Kafka is to be expected in the first half of the 1.2 banner, finally! Since she was the first character we ever got to play right after jumping into the game, Kafka has gathered a huge fan base around her. That is no surprise after seeing her flashy animations and extremely cool design! She is probably the most anticipated character in the game at the moment.

Kafka Ability Rundown:

Basic ATK / Midnight Tumult

• Deals X% of Kafka's ATK as Lightning DMG to a target enemy.

Skill / Caressing Moonlight

• Deals X% of Kafka's ATK as Lightning DMG to a target enemy and X% of Kafka's ATK as Lightning DMG to enemies adjacent to it.
• If the target enemy is currently receiving DoT, all DoTs currently placed on that enemy immediately produce DMG equal to X% of their original DMG.

Ultimate / Twilight Thrill

• Deals X% of Kafka's ATK as Lightning DMG to all enemies + 100% chance to shock the enemies hit, and deal X% of the DoT. (lasts for two turns)
• While shocked, enemies receive Lightning DoT equal to X% of Kafka’s ATK at the beginning of each turn.

Talent / Gentle But Cruel

• After an ally of Kafka’s uses Basic ATK on an enemy, Kafka immediately launches 1 follow-up attack dealing X% of Kafka's ATK to that enemy. (once per turn)
• 100% chance of increasing the DoT inflicted by 15%. (two turns)

Technique / Mercy Is Not Forgiveness

• Kafka immediately attacks the enemy.
• After entering battle, dealing X% of Kafka’s ATK as Lightning DMG to a random enemy. + All enemies have a 100% base chance to become shocked. (three turns)
• While shocked, enemies receive Lightning DoT equal to X% of Kafka’s ATK at the beginning of each turn.

The name of Kafka's Light Cone will be “Patience Is All You Need”. It will deal 16% more DMG to enemies with DoTs. (S1) For every attack, increases the wearers speed by 4% up to five times. Meanwhile, enemies receiving attacks take 20% more DoT for one turn.

Blade

• 5-Star
• Wind / DESTRUCTION

Blade aka Xiao will join the crew in the second half of the 1.2 banner! He seems to have a pretty unique play style where he would use his own HP instead of skill points to activate his abilities or ultimate.

For most Genshin players that does sound pretty similar to Xiao, who is also wind (anemo) themed. Both seem to have a quite dark background story as well. But Blade will definitely be my character of choice when he is available!

Blade Ability Rundown

X refers to the multiplication depending on the character's level.

Basic ATK / Shard Sword

• Deals X% of Blade’s ATK as Wind DMG to a target enemy.

Skill / Hellscape

• Consumes X% of Blade’s Max HP to Immediately Advance action forward by 100%.
• DMG increases by X% and Basic ATK “Shard Sword" is enhanced to Forest of Swords.(three turns)
• Skill cannot be used while “Forest of Swords still active. If HP is insufficient after using Skill. Blade’s HP will be reduced to 1%. This Skill cannot regenerate Energy.

Ultimate / Death Sentence

• Deals X% of Blade’s ATK plus X% of Max HP as Wind DMG to an enemy and adjacent targets.
• Sets Blade's current HP to X% of his max HP.

Talent / Shuhu's Gift

• Every time Blade takes DMG, he gains one Charge stack, stackable up to five times. (three turns)
• When maximum Charge stacks is reached, consume all Charges and immediately unleash a follow-up attack on all enemies dealing X% of Blade’s ATK + X% of the HP loss while stacking Charges as Wind DMG.
• Restore Blade's HP by X% of his max HP

Technique / Karma Wind

• Immediately attacks the enemy after entering battle.
• Consume X% of Blade’s Max HP and deals X% of Blade’s max HP as Wind DMG to all enemies.

The name of Blade's Light Cone will be "The Unreachable Side" and increses the max HP of the wearer by 16% and his ATK by 16%. DMG when attacking is increased by 30% and follow-up DMG is incresed by 30%. (S1)

Luka

• 4-Star
• Physical / NIHILITY

Luka is a member of the Wildfire and a talented boxer in Belobog's Underworld. He is in the undefeated champions club and wanst to inspire other with his passion.

Luka Ability Rundown

X refers to the multiplication depending on the character's level.

Basic ATK / ?

• Deals X% of Luka's ATK as Physical DMG to a traget enemy.

Skill / ?

• Deals Physical DMG equal to X% of Luka's ATK to a target enemy, followed by X% of probability of putting the target into the laceration state for X rounds.
  → At the beginning of each turn, the enemy target suffers continuous Physical DMG equal to its own max HP and up to X% of Luka's ATK.

Ultimate / ?

• Gain X stacks of Fighting Spirit, and have a probability of X% to increase the DMG dealt to the target by X%, which lasts for X rounds.
• Deals Physical DMG equal to X% of Luka's ATK to the target enemy.
  

Talent / ?

• After Luka casts a basci ATK or skill, he will gain a stack of Fighting Spirt and he can hold up to four stacks.
• When the held stacks are greater or equal to two stacks, the normal attack becomes a strengthened normal attack called Shattering Fist.
• When Shattering Fist hits an enemy target in the state of laceration, the current laceration state will immediately deal DMG equal to X% of the original DMG.

Technique / ?

• On stepping into the battle, Luka gains a stack of Fighting Spirit and deals Physical DMG to a random enemy.
• It has a chance to put them in a laceration state, triggering the specified conditions of the effect.

The name of Luka's Light Cone will be "Resolution shines as Pearls of Sweat" and will be a 4-Star Light Cone. When the wearer hits an enemy and if the hit enemy is not already Ensnared, then there is a 60% base chance to Ensnare the hit enemy. Ensnared enemies' DEF decreases by 12% for 1 turn. (S1)

Honkai Star Rail: 1.3 Banner

Last but not least, let's look at the 1.3 banner lineup as well:

Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae (Dan Heng IL)

• 5-Star
• Imaginary / DESTRUCTION

Another Dan Heng? Well yes, kind of at least! However, in this version, Dan Heng is neither a wind nor a “The Hunt” character anymore. His 5-Star appearance looks even more elegant than the Dan Heng we know so far. Since there are no official artworks of him right now, you should take this picture with a grain of salt.

For Hoyoverse, it is not uncommon to reuse a character in different ways again. People who played Honkai Impact 3rd know what I am talking about, since there were multiple “Battlesuits” of one character as well.

Dan Heng is the true identity of the Holder of the Light Clan, and his power is a left over from his previous life as the "Imbibitor Lunae King".

Dan Heng IL will probably be on the 1.3 banner in the first half.

Fu Xuan

• 5-Star
• Quantum / PRESERVATION

Fu Xuan will be the last character on this list. She will be available in the second half of the 1.3 banner. Fu Xuan is very confident in what she does and is convinced that she will always find the absolutely right solution. With her ability, she can predict future events which to me sounds pretty OP in a turn-based game!

Fu Xuan Ability Rundown

X refers to the multiplication depending on the character's level.

Basic Attack / ?

• Deals X% of Fu Xuan's ATK as Quantum DMG to a target enemy.

Skill / Poor View Formation

• Using her skill activates the "Poor View Formation" effect.
  → When all party members are alive, the damage received by all allies will be reduced by X%. (max 4 allies) X% of all damage taken by party members other than Fu Xuan will be mitigated by her. (three turns)
  → When Fu Xuan takes damage while Poor View Formation is active, she will gain 1 stack of [effect]. Ech stack of [effect] increases Fu Xuan's max HP by X%. Stacks up to X times. (two turns)

Ultimate / ?

• Deals X% of Fu Xuan's ATK as Quantum DMG to all enemies.
• Deals additional Quantum DMG equal to X% of Fu Xuan's max HP.
• Resets the number of times Fu Xuan's Talent has been triggered.

Talent / ?

• Grants the "Avoid Misfortune" effect to all party members.
  → Reduces all DMG taken by X%.
  
• Fu Xuan gains a DMG bonus based on the amount of HP she has lost. For ever X% of her max HP she lost, her DMG increases by X%.
• When Fu Xuan's current HP is less than or equal to X% of her max HP, she will regain HP by swapping the percentage of her max HP lost with her current HP.

There is no reliable information on Fu Xuan's Technique right now.

Honkai Star Rail: Leaked Characters

There are even some leaked characters, that could potentially make it into to game in the very far future. All the information on this list is not confirmed so take them with a big grain of salt! Unfortunately, right now there are almost no pictures for the following leaks.

Jingliu

Jingliu is a former swords master of the Cloud Knights and belongs to the Xianzhou. Jing Yuan was her protégé until she was corrupted with Mara. Her student defeated her and now it seems like she is ready for a comeback!

Jingliu Ability Rundown

Basic ATK / Transcendent Flash: Feathered Frost

• Deals Ice DMG to one enemy and gains 2 stacks of New Moon.

Skill / Transcendent Flash: Moonlit River

• Deals Ice DMG to one enemy as well as to surrounding ones. Consumes 2 stacks of Moonlight.

Ultimate / Precipitous Blossoms, Fleeting as Stellar Dreams

• If Jingliu is in a Transcendence state, gain 2 stacks of Moonlight after each attack. If not, gain 2 stacks of New Moon instead.
• Deals Ice DMG to one enemy and the surrounding enemies.

Talent / Crescent Transmigressions

• When Jingliu has 4 stacks of New Moon, she enters the Transcendence state and sacrifices her own and her teammates’ HP to increase her ATK.
• In the Transcendence state, New Moon turns into Moonlight and Jingliu gains the new skill, Moonlit River.

Hanya

Huo Huo is a apprentice judge at the Ten-Lords Commision on the Xianzhou Luofu. She is a fox-girl and is possessed by Wubbaboo. She is rather timid and is afraid of all kinds of scary looking things. Yet her job is capturing evil spirits.

Lynx

• 4-Star
• Quantum / ABUNDANCE

  → Support / Singe Target & AOE Healer / Cleanse / Battery

Lynx is part of the Landau family and a snow explorer from Belobog Horizonte. She prefers going on solo missions and has a rather calm personality.

Xueyi

• 4-Star
• Quantum / DESTRUCTION

  → DPS / Singe Target Damage / Burst

Xueyi is one of the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission on the Xianzhou Luofu. Since she used to be dead for several years, she uses a puppet to fulfill her mission.

Guinaifen

• 4-Star

  → DPS / AOE Damage / DoT

Guinaifen is an acrobatic street performer who lives on the Xianzhou Luofu. She is known for her fun performances featuring her puppies.

Ruan Mei

Sam

• Fire / DESTRUCTION
