It has been five years since The Witcher 3 got its fantastic set of DLC Blood and Wine, and Hearts of Stone. Isn't that just absolutely crazy? This masterpiece is six years old now, and its incredible expansions are now five years old. That makes it even the more exciting that we will be getting new Witcher 3 DLC with the game's next-gen upgrade. What are the details?
The Witcher 3 was an incredible experience, and new DLC certainly gets our juices flowing! Has there been any more news on a possible The Witcher 4?
What is the New Witcher 3 DLC?
Not much is know about the new DLC coming to the Witcher 3, except that it will be inspired by The Witcher's Netflix show. The Netflix show featured Henry Cavill as Geralt, and garnered a generally positive reception.
The first season was based on the short stories from the Witcher story-collections The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny, and thus we imagine that this DLC could relate to some of those stories. If this is true, it could be insanely awesome!
If it's not based on the above-mentioned short-stories, however, we imagine that the new Witcher 3 DLC will be some Witcher Netflix Show-inspired cosmetics. We very much hope that we're wrong in this, but let's be real: this is how this kind of stuff usually turns out, isn't it?

When is the new Witcher 3 DLC Release Date?
The new Witcher 3 DLC will likely release on, or around, December 17. It is set to release with the game's next-gen update, expected to release in December alongside the second season of the Netflix Show, which releases on the aforementioned date.
Thus, we expect that the new Witcher 3 DLC will release at the tail-end of 2021, and thus it is a tad of a wait until we get to see what's in-store for Geralt next! That being said: we're insanely excited! How could we not be? It's The Witcher!
