PlayStation Plus Free Games | December 2021

It's a pretty weak offering this month, but they want as many people as possible to buy something from the Christmas sale, and if the free PlayStation Plus games were excellent that would be a much harder sell.

PlayStation Plus is trash in comparison to the Xbox Game Pass, it really is. But at least we get three free games a month. Don't get your hopes up for December, though, it wasn't a good month. Without further ado, here are your free PlayStation Plus games for December 2021.

Which Free Games are coming to PlayStation Plus this December?

Mortal Shell - Metacritic 76%

It's a boring soul wannabe. The combat is good, but rewards are terrible, the world feels pointless, and there's no narrative motivation to push your way through it. You might get a kick out of it, but with all the sales and deals going on at this time of year, you could also just find something a lot better to play.

Godfall - Metacritic 61%

Godfall is probably the weakest of the three. It's a corny, high-fantasy world that feels empty and uninspired. The mechanics are meh at best, but if you love these kinds of games, and you don't have one to play right now, it doesn't hurt to give it a go. Plus it looks pretty.

LEGO DC Super Villains - Metacritic 74%

There's very little that needs to be said about LEGO DC Super Villains. If you like LEGO games, and you like DC, then you will enjoy this game. Don't expect anything more or less than a light-hearted LEGO game set in Gotham, and you won't be disappointed.

As we said up at the top, this isn't a strong month for free PS Plus games, but if you're subscribing anyway, it never hurts to add them to your library.
