Remnant 2 has some awesome classes to pick from. But before you start deciding which "Archetype" to play, you actually need to find them first. Here's where to find the Engineer Archetype.

"Choose between eight archetypes!", they said. "It'll be fun!", they said. And, well, obviously it's fun and I'm not complaining, but there are even more than eight archetypes in Remnant 2. Here's how to get the secret Engineer Archetype!

Are you just here because you're interested about buying the game? Let me help you: Here's where to get it.

Remnant 2: Engineer Location

To unlock the Engineer Archetype in Remnant 2 you need to find an item called the Alien Device, which is in the Eon Vault, the second overworld of N'Erud. However, what makes this difficult is that the area where the item is located is surrounded by a poisonous fog. So bring Purified Salve to remove the Curse effect.

The best way to find the Alien Device in the fog is by using the Treasure Hunter skill as an Explorer. If you use this skill you will be able to see an outline of a dead engineer, and the Alien Device is found near this body. It is of course possible to find the Alien Device without the Treasure Hunter skill, but it will take longer as you have to manually look for the device.

Don't forget to grab the Technician armor, which is on the body of the dead engineer. And just besides them is a ledge that you can jump down to find what you actually desire: the Alien Device.

With the Alien Device, head back to Ward 13 and go pay Wallace a visit. He'll craft the Alien Device into a Drzyr Caliper. And there you go: equip it and go nuts with your new archetype!
