Since its release back in 1999, Silent Hill has been a huge success within the survival-horror game community. After more than two whole decades later, this survival-horror staple receives its long awaited remake!
It is quite unusual that very old games get a new lease on life. However, there are definitely exceptions where a remake is more than worth it, and Silent Hill is just such an outstanding example!
To the delight of all fans of this particular franchise, it seems like we do not have to wait for too long until we can finally go back to Silent Hill.

Silent Hill 2 Release Date Leaked
Even though it might not have been planned that way, a release date for the Silent Hill remake has now come to daylight.
- Feeling a little nostalgic as well? Maybe we should all replay the Silent Hill classics again, in preparation for the remake!
In a store posting of the Australian retailer Gorilla Gaming, you could spot the seemingly official release date of said remake. It shows, that the game is supposed to be in store on September 29, 2023.
However, until now it is not clear, if the date on the posting is just a placeholder or the real timing.
Around 7 months prior, the first official trailer for the Silent Hill remake got uploaded on to the official PlayStation YouTube channel, giving us a little sneak peek of what we can expect.
