13 years after the famous Portal 2 saw the light of earth, a huge fan project just got released which connects Portal and Portal 2, originally developed by Valve. In 5 to 7 hours of playtime, Portal: Revolution once again asks you to demonstrate your skills to solve complex puzzles and trick the rules of gravity.

Portal Revolution Seems Like A Full-Fledged Pre-Sequel To The Famous Series

The story of Portal Revolution is set between the two main games of the series. As another unnamed test subject, you are tasked with bringing the Aperture Science Labs back into shape, after the protagonist of the other 2 games destroyed GLaDOS (the very rude, but widely beloved main AI, that ran the place) in order to get to the infamous cake.

Or was it because GLaDOS turned out to be a murderous lunatic? One of these statements is a lie, but I can't remember which one... Anyway, the game mod contains 40 new chambers that combine already existing and new game mechanics.

Watch the trailer of Portal Revolution:

If you're afraid that your ability to solve logical puzzles has become rusty over the last 13 years, the devs got your back:

Portal: Revolution's puzzle difficulty starts where Portal 2 stops, but fear not. All new mechanics and advanced portal tricks are taught to you. We have ensured through rigorous playtesting that every player can solve the puzzles. Although very few chambers require portals to be fired mid-air, no puzzles require advanced tricky movement.

If you want to read more about the game itself, visit the steam page or the official website.

The best thing is, you don't even need to wait! Portal Revolution is now live on Steam. Since this is a mod to an existing game, you need to own Portal 2 to play it (If you don't own Portal 2, I'm shaking my head at you). And now enjoy this new adventure in the Portal universe!
