Even More Steam Decks Will Be Up For Grabs At Today's Game Awards

If you weren't lucky enough to snag a Steam Deck at last year's Game Awards, you're getting another chance today!

Remember the Steam Deck giveaway at last year's Game Awards? Valve streamed the event on their own streaming service back then and gifted a Steam Deck to a random viewer on there every minute! Naturally, this led to record-breaking concurrent viewer numbers on their platform, and apparently Geoff Keighley was so impressed by the success of the promotion that he's giving it a shot himself this year:

No Stalling Allowed This Time

Christopher Judge's acceptance speech put last year's show even more behind schedule – and probably resulted in a few more Decks being given out. | © The Game Awards

100 Decks is a bit less generous than last year's giveaway, since that one had over 170 winners, according to Valve. But since that giveaway led to people calling Christopher Judge's extremely long-winded acceptance speech an attempt to drag out the show and net its viewers more Steam Decks, I can't exactly blame Geoff for putting a hard limit on the giveaway this time.

Plus, these Steam Decks are the brand-new 1TB OLED model, so he isn't exactly cutting corners here. And you won't have to stay for the entire duration of the show to improve your odds of winning this time! All you need to do is visit tgasteamdeck.com at some point during today's show and enter the giveaway manually.

You'll probably still be competing with thousands of other people, though, so don't count on your odds of winning being any better this year. But if you'll be watching the show anyway, it can't hurt to give it a shot, right? Who knows, you might just get lucky this time!
