Game Freak made a really bold announcement for the next Pokémon game and another one, which is also in development.
On the official website of Game Freak, they announced that "the next game is going to be a masterpiece". That might be a pretty bold announcement if you take into consideration that the previous Nintendo Switch Pokémon games like the newest main line game Pokémon Scarlet & Violet were incomplete and laggy.
So, let's hope they keep their promise and take more time for their games instead of squeezing out unfinished games in the classic 2-year rhythm just to make more profit.
"ProjectBloom" And Cooperation With Private Divison
However, since it seems like Game Freak is partnering with Private Division, the next game could for real be what they really promised. Private Divison is known for games like Kerbal Space Program or Hades , both great games with a fantastic rating.

Private Division also stated that they can't reveal that much yet. But we still got a concept art for the so called "ProjectBloom", which is supposed to be an action-adventure game, breaking the Pokémon formula of an RPG. So, is it still gonna be a Pokémon game? We're not sure, since Game Freak also announced that they're developing a masterpiece that will "surpass" the Pokémon series.
Game Freak got its biggest success with Pokémon games, though. I mean, did you even know that they're also producing other games like "Solitary horse Ride On!" Yeah, me neither. It would be foolish to think that they wouldn't release new Pokémon games anymore.
However, maybe they opened up for a new main line game. But what we can expect in the future is still up in the air.
