1. Everything After Season 4 Fell Flat
Dexter hit its peak with the Trinity Killer, and the seasons that followed never reached the same level of tension. There were some good moments, like Lumen, Isaak Sirko, and Hannah McKay, but the writing grew uneven and the storylines less compelling. Rita’s death stripped away much of the show’s heart, and later choices, like Deb’s love arc or Dexter’s fate in New Blood, only made the decline clearer. For many fans, the inconsistency keeps Dexter from being remembered as one of TV’s greatest shows. | © Showtime Networks
