Fortnite has introduced golden chickens to the game in the latest update, coinciding with the Midas event. We'll show you what the golden chickens can do and where to find them.
The golden chickens have appeared in Fortnite with the new Midas patch. They work like the usual chickens in Fortnite, but with a few extra bonuses.
Golden Chickens In Fortnite: Where To Find Them
Golden Chickens are in pretty similar areas as the old chickens. You can find them very easily in the following areas:
- Large meadows and big grass areas
- Farm areas, especially around Fencing Fields
- The Olympus-Biome

Golden Chickens In Fortnite: What They Do
Golden chickens can be used for temporary flying like ordinary chickens. However, eliminating a golden chicken no longer gets you meat. Instead, golden chickens do the follow things:
- They drop about 12 Gold when eliminated
- Sometimes they lay golden eggs, which give you 350 Gold.
With the gold, you can buy new weapons at vending machines, hire NPCs, accept briefings, or try out the new service station on the Marigold Yacht.
