Lily's Well
Developers: PureIceBlue
Run time: ~2h 30min for the main story
Play the game: Lily's Well
In what is by far the longest game on this list, you play Lily, a little girl who's already supposed to be asleep. After all, your father tucked you into bed and left the house – but you're far from tired because you just heard a weird noise coming from the well outside.
So, you search for things that will help you climb down the well... and die. Over and over. Basically, your mission is to eventually reach the end of the well but until you've managed to do this, Lily will die in a different way every time and then you'll have to start all over again.
And in order to uncover the full story of what happened (or is happening?) at the bottom of the well, you'll need to find both the ten objects with which you can safely climb down, and every way in which Lily can die along the way. | © PureIceBlue

The Open House
Developers: corpsepile
Run time: ~15min
Play the game: The Open House
In this game, you consider buying a house, so you do a house viewing. Thanks to the newest technology, you don't even have to be there in person – you can just control a drone and have a digital real estate agent!
...Unfortunately, this still doesn't protect you from the horrors in this house, though. As you see weirder and weirder things with your drone and your "real estate agent" becomes progressively scarier, you realize that you can't just leave anymore. | © corpsepile

DIA
Developers: Vidas Games
Run time: ~10min
Play the game: DIA
"There is nothing scary ahead. No sudden noises. No flashing images. No one will follow you. Welcome to Dia."
This game has a super simple and yet terrifying concept. You walk through an abandoned city that has one special feature: It has monitors where the town's population count is portrayed.
But, as mentioned, the city is abandoned. You're the only one walking through it, so of course the population count is 1... until it suddenly jumps up to 2... | © Vidas Games
