Cropped About 1

About this gallery:

For this list, we're diving into all the Duelists in Marvel Rivals, ranking them from worst to best. Of course, keep in mind the game is still super fresh, and at any moment a patch could come along and totally shake up this ranking. But for now, these are the heroes you should (or maybe shouldn't) be picking. Happy gaming! | © Marvel

Cropped Spider Man

18. Spider-Man

Ah, Spider-Man – the swinging menace who is either your best friend or your worst nightmare, depending on how good you are with him. On a competitive level, Spidey is a dream, capable of darting in and out of combat with his acrobatic moves, leaving enemies in the dust. But, and here's the big “but,” unless you're a master of precision timing and know every inch of the map, Spider-Man’s going to be more of a nuisance than a true threat. For the average player, he’s like trying to ride a unicycle on a tightrope – impressive if you nail it, but mostly frustrating if you don’t. So, for now, he hangs out at the bottom of the rankings, waiting for players to perfect his tricky moves. | © Marvel

Cropped Psylocke

17. Psylocke

Psylocke might have some killer moves in the comics, but in Marvel Rivals, she just doesn’t pack the punch she needs. With low damage output and a skillset that feels more "meh" than "wow," she's a character you choose when you want to feel like you’re doing something, but not actually making a difference. Her abilities are limited, and while she can teleport and dish out some damage, she’s often overshadowed by duelists who can bring a bit more flair to the fight. If you're in the mood for something a little more pizzazz and less bland, you might want to steer clear of her. | © Marvel

Cropped Namor

16. Namor

Namor might be the king of Atlantis, but in Marvel Rivals, he's not exactly ruling the Duelist ranks. Sure, he has some unique abilities, like his turrets that can make him stand out, but they’re less of a problem as the game goes on. His ultimate? It’s fine… if it connects, that is. But the fact is, his gameplay revolves around very specific timing and a lot of setup, which means it’s too easy for enemies to dodge his attacks. If you like characters that require a lot of finesse, Namor might tickle your fancy – but for most players, he’s more "meh" than majestic. | © Marvel

Cropped Black Panther

15. Black Panther

Wakanda might be forever, but Black Panther’s place in the Marvel Rivals rankings is a bit more fleeting. Despite a buff here and there, he just can’t seem to catch up to other duelists in terms of damage output. His ultimate can be tricky to pull off correctly, and if you're not executing it right, it often ends up being a complete dud. Black Panther is all about those fast brawler moves, but unfortunately, his speed and power still feel a bit outclassed. It’s like he’s always just one step behind the competition. So, while he might be a fan favorite, in this game, he could use a little more oomph. | © Marvel

Cropped Wolverine

14. Wolverine

Ah, Wolverine – a guy who regenerates health like a champion and slashes his way through everything. He sounds like a powerhouse, right? Well, not exactly. While Wolverine has decent survivability, his slower movement means he can struggle to get in close for those all-important brawler moments. His health regen is nice, sure, but it doesn’t quite make up for the fact that he's often just jogging in the middle of a firefight while others zip around. He’s fine in the hands of a skilled player who knows the right flanking routes, but for the average player? It's a slow burn. So, while you can definitely play Wolverine and do okay, he’s still got some kinks to work out in terms of balance. | © Marvel

Cropped Winter Soldier

13. Winter Soldier

A hybrid character who blends brawler and sniper like a weird, but effective, smoothie. He’s got high damage shots from range, but don't expect him to outpace any of the true brawlers in close combat. Winter Soldier's strength is in versatility: if you want to shoot from a distance and then wade into melee with his well-timed abilities, he can make a strong impression. But the problem? He doesn’t truly excel in either category. It's like being good at everything but not great at anything, which leaves him awkwardly floating in the middle of the rankings. Still, a solid choice if you like to mix things up. | © Marvel

Cropped Star Lord

12. Star-Lord

Star-Lord is the kind of character who thrives in chaos. He’s the "ranged" guy with a flair for movement, dodging, and – let’s face it – looking pretty cool while doing it. His guns do decent damage, but you really need to be precise with your shots. If you’re just wildly firing, you’ll find yourself in more trouble than you bargained for. His ultimate is a game-changer, though – think auto-aim to melt through enemies. The catch? If you're bad at aiming, you’ll end up feeling more like the space version of "Bambi on ice." Star-Lord definitely requires a bit of finesse to make those pew-pews count. | © Marvel

Cropped Magik

11. Magik

Magik is one of those characters that feels like she could either be your best friend or your worst nightmare depending on your skill. She’s a brawler, but don’t expect her to jump into the fight headfirst. No, no – Magik's got tricks up her sleeve. Her teleportation and demon summoning abilities are where the magic happens (pun intended), but it takes some timing and map awareness to really make her shine. The kicker? Her ultimate just kind of... improves your moves, instead of bringing something truly game-changing to the table. If you like characters that require a little extra effort to make great, Magik is your gal. | © Marvel

Cropped Black Widow

10. Black Widow

Black Widow is like that one friend who's really good at the basics – simple, effective, but not always exciting. She’s got a sniper rifle, which means if you’re good at aiming, she’s a fantastic choice. The catch? If you’re bad at aiming, you’re going to spend a lot of time staring at empty crosshairs. Her ability to melt through enemies is solid for players who can land their shots, but she doesn’t have that “flashy” factor that some other duelists bring. If you're a precision sharpshooter in real life (or you want to be), Widow will reward your skill. If you’re more of a “spray and pray” kind of player, you might want to look elsewhere. | © Marvel

Cropped Storm

9. Storm

Storm, queen of the skies, comes in strong with her aerial abilities and the power of lightning! Flying around the map and hurling electric fury, she can be a serious pain to deal with from a distance. She's got great mobility and a useful ultimate that packs quite the punch – honestly, it feels pretty satisfying to rain down a storm (pun intended) on your enemies. The tricky part? She's not as tanky as some other duelists, so while you can dish out the damage, you need to keep your distance and outmaneuver opponents. Get in close, though, and you’ll quickly see that her lack of close-range strength can leave you vulnerable. If you love flying around while dishing out serious damage from above, Storm is your go-to. | © Marvel

Cropped Squirrel Girl

8. Squirrel Girl

Squirrel Girl might sound like a joke (who wouldn’t laugh at a hero whose main backup is a bunch of squirrels?), but don’t let the name fool you – she’s a seriously strong contender in Marvel Rivals. Her fast firing slingshot is a pain to deal with, especially when you throw in the extra spread and her ability to leap around the battlefield. Want to shut down a pesky opponent trying to hide? Drop a squirrel stun grenade and lock them down. Oh, and don’t forget her ultimate: squirrels that bounce all over narrow corridors, making her a nightmare in tight spaces. She’s got both offensive power and a surprising amount of mobility, and she might just be the most fun underdog character in the game. Who knew squirrels could be so vicious? | © Marvel

Cropped Scarlet Witch

7. Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch is a chaos magician, and like her comics counterpart, she’s capable of changing the game with just one wave of her hand. She has the ability to auto-aim her primary fire, meaning her basic attacks will hit the mark even when you're dodging and weaving. The real kicker is her ultimate ability, which has absurdly long range, letting her sneak in and take out enemies hiding far behind the lines. If you like being the sneaky, unpredictable type who causes chaos from a distance, Scarlet Witch will have you feeling like a powerhouse. She might not be super tanky, but when you can blast your enemies from afar, who needs it? | © Marvel

Cropped Iron Man

6. Iron Man

Tony Stark is back, baby! As if there was any doubt that Iron Man would make his way to the top of any tier list, he’s rocking his tech-heavy playstyle with style in Marvel Rivals. With his ability to fly and unleash a barrage of attacks, Iron Man can rain hellfire from above, giving him a massive strategic advantage over opponents trying to ground him. His ultimate is, naturally, one of the most powerful in the game, letting you wreak havoc on the battlefield with devastating tech power. The trade-off? He’s not the fastest on foot, so keeping your distance is key. But when you have an arsenal like his, who needs to get up close? | © Marvel

Cropped Iron Fist

5. Iron Fist

Iron Fist is the brawler’s brawler, and he’s in the right spot for players who like to keep the fight up-close and personal. With fast speed and self-healing, Iron Fist is hard to take down in extended fights. His mobility allows him to dodge around enemies, while his damage deflector keeps him alive in tight scrapes. His ultimate might not redefine the game, but it sure does boost his fighting prowess, making him a force to be reckoned with in the right hands. If you love fighting in the middle of the chaos, Iron Fist is a solid choice who can stand toe-to-toe with the toughest of the tough. | © Marvel

Cropped The Punisher

4. The Punisher

The Punisher is the definition of a no-nonsense character, and he absolutely wrecks shop in Marvel Rivals. His straightforward playstyle might seem simple at first – he shoots stuff, blows stuff up, and looks tough doing it – but don’t underestimate Frank Castle. His turret mount is a game-changer, letting him hold down areas with brute force while mowing down enemies who get too close. And his ultimate? A devastating, no-holds-barred attack that can easily wipe out entire teams. He’s the perfect character for those who like a character that’s easy to pick up, hard to put down, and will absolutely dominate once you’ve got him in the zone. If you want to make an impact without the complexity, The Punisher is your guy. | © Marvel

Cropped Moon Knight

3. Moon Knight

Moon Knight is like a chaotic whirlwind with a cape – and that’s exactly why he’s so effective in Marvel Rivals. He’s all about mobility, flanking, and disrupting the enemy’s plans, and boy, does he do it well. With his grappling hook, Moon Knight can zip across the battlefield with ease, getting in close for surprise attacks or darting away when things get too heated. His primary fire rate is strong, especially if you manage to land those headshots. The cherry on top is his ultimate: a high-impact, area-of-effect attack that can deal massive damage, though with a smaller radius than some of the other area-based ultimates. Whether you’re leaping into battle or sneaking around corners, Moon Knight is a master of the unexpected, and he keeps your enemies guessing. | © Marvel

Cropped Hela

2. Hela

Hela isn’t just the Goddess of Death, she’s also a straight-up nightmare in Marvel Rivals. Whether you’re trying to avoid her dagger barrage or her ultimate (which sends her flying into the air to unleash devastation from above), you’ll quickly realize that crossing her path is a bad idea. She’s got both long-range and short-range capabilities, making her a versatile and dangerous threat no matter where you are on the map. Her ultimate is one of the best in the game – teleporting her into the air, letting her rain down fiery death on her enemies while staying safe. If you like a character who can obliterate anything in her way with a bit of flair, Hela is your go-to gal. Who says being dead can’t be this fun? | © Marvel

Cropped Hawkeye

1. Hawkeye

Hawkeye, the unassuming archer with a very big punch. He might not have the explosive powers of some other heroes, but don’t let that fool you – Hawkeye is a precision machine who can dominate from a distance. His primary fire is fast, accurate, and punishing, and thanks to his third-person aiming, he recovers quickly from missed shots, making him incredibly deadly in the right hands. What sets him apart, though, is his passive ability to increase his damage the longer an enemy stays in his crosshairs. And did I mention he doesn’t need to reload? Yeah, he just keeps firing. With an alternate explosive arrow and an ultimate that will make you wish you were anywhere but in his sights, Hawkeye doesn’t just hit targets – he obliterates them. If you like a high-skill, high-reward character, then you’ll find yourself bowing to Hawkeye’s mastery. | © Marvel
