If you thought Split Fiction was tough already, wait until you get to the secret level, Laser Hell. If you want to give it a try, here’s how you can unlock it.

If you thought Split Fiction was already pushing your limits, wait until you enter the hidden level known as Laser Hell. This is the game’s most brutal, unforgiving challenge — and just unlocking it is a puzzle on its own. Here’s how to find it, and what you’re signing up for.
How to Unlock the Secret “Laser Hell” Level in Split Fiction
The secret level is hidden inside the Maximum Security sublevel of the Isolation chapter. At one point, you’ll reach a room with two buttons – this is where you’d normally ride the elevator up to continue the main story. Stop right there.
Outside this room, look closely: you’ll find a binary code scribbled on the wall. That’s the key to unlocking Laser Hell.
How the Code Works
The puzzle uses binary input — each button corresponds to a number:
- Right button = 1
- Left button = 0
The full binary sequence you need to input is:
1100101101
Translated into button presses, that’s:
Right, Right, Left, Left, Right, Left, Right, Right, Left, Right
You can have one player read the code on the wall while the other enters it, or stand on each button in sequence and switch off. Just make sure the last two steps are done together: one player stays on the right button, and the other joins on the left.
How To Know You Did It Right
If you input the code correctly, you’ll know it immediately – the elevator platform will drop down instead of going up. That’s your secret entrance into Laser Hell.
What To Expect In Laser Hell
This hidden level is infamous for a reason. Laser Hell throws a gauntlet of instant-death lasers at you. Tight timing and intense challenges. And here's the kicker:
If you die, you don’t restart the level – you go back to the beginning of the challenge.
That means no checkpoints, no retries, no mercy. Just you, your friend, and the most punishing section in the game. It’s a true test of coordination, patience, and... friendship.
Final Tip
If you're going for 100% completion or just want bragging rights, this is your Everest. Practice, communicate, and maybe bring snacks. Speaking from experience: Listening to "Payphone" from Maroon 5 tweaks the level down from a 10 to a 7 in difficulty with immediate effect.
Good luck.
