League of Legends chief gameplay designer Mark "Scruffy" Yetter has revealed on Twitter how the journey with Kayle and Ahri will continue. Both LoL champs will be changed for the better in as the duo is about to get some buffs in LoL patch 10.18!

Mark "Scruffy" Yetter commented in a tweet this morning on some upcoming changes for patch 10.18. Ahri and Kayle are the focus of Riot Games and will experience some mechanical changes. Both are only small buffs, but they are mainly focused on improving their gameplay.

Here are all the changes coming to Ahri and Kayle:

Ahri

Riot reworks Ahri's passive ability Vastayan grace, her Orb of Deception (Q), and her Foxfire (E).

Passive

Riot Games cuts Ahri's movement speed bonus through her passive. Whenever Ahri scored two ability strikes against a champion in 1.5 seconds, she received a 20% movement speed bonus for three seconds. With the new patch, Ahri will get a completely new passive called "Essence Theft".

Ahri charges up her new passive with abilities when hitting enemy champions. She can get a maximum of three charges per ability cast. When she has reached nine charges, Ahri heals for 30/60/90/180 (based on level) (+27% AP) with the next ability that hits an enemy champion.

Q - Ball of Deception

What we're seeing is the small heal on her Q spell gets removed and the heal becomes slightly better thanks to her new passive.

E - Foxfire

Riot also changes her E skill, Foxfire, increasing its cooldown to 10/9/8/7/6 seconds from 9/8/7/6 seconds and its mana cost to 55 from 40, and now deals 200% damage to minions with less than 20% health and grants Ahri 40% movement speed for 1.5 seconds.

According to Scruffy, the target of these changes is the Vassals:

More flexibility and control of her movement speed to open up new small combos and outplays. More incentive and heal reward for trading with champions

Kayle

The goal of the changes here aims to bring a more active laning for Kayle. Because Kayle is scaling very well, many players play in a very passive manner during the laning phase. Riot Games are about to change that as Kayle should now be more active in the fight on the lane and make the 1v1 more interesting.

Q - Radiant Blast

No longer refunds 50% of the mana cost for each opposing champion hit.

W - Celestial Blessing

Mana cost: increased from 70-110 to 90-130.

E - Starfire Spellblade

Cooldown: Decreased from 8 to 8-6.

Mana cost: reduced from 50-70 to 0.

Projectile Speed: increased from 2000 to 5000.

The buffs give Kayle even more carry potential, especially in the late game. She now has less cooldown and the projectile speed is more than twice as fast. Not having a mana cost is also a nice touch.

The balance changes will come to the live servers with patch 10.18 on September 2.
