5. Ionia: Up until Arcane, Ionia was one of the more commonly shown regions, but its amazing visuals and the interplay between human and Vastayan culture makes it clear Ionia has plenty more to offer. On top of that, their ongoing struggle with Noxus is still not entirely resolved. | © Riot Games
4. Demacia: On first look, the shining kingdom with its brave armies and focus on Justice (which Garen should shout repeatedly) is as archetypically "good" as it gets. However, we already know not all is sunshine and roses in Demacia, especially for mages - and it just so happens that Fiddlesticks was stalking its nights as well. Add in some war stories with Noxus and there is certainly plenty to explore. | © Riot Games
3. Bilgewater: The seedy city by the sea has already been the stage of several stories, in-game events, even a D&D module - but for a good reason. Bilgewater has action, thrills and even a bit of intrigue, featuring some of the most memorable characters on Runeterra. Bilgewater offers different thrills and conflicts to Zaun and it has plenty of them - more than enough for a good series. | © Riot Games
2. Mount Targon: Unlike the bustling Bilgewater, Mount Targon is a land where nature itself tests and weeds out the unworthy. Yet many legends have been born on its slopes and summit. From those who become more than human as Aspects of great power, to the all too human rivalry between Solari and Lunari, the stories of Targon can focus on the legends and the humans behind them. | © Riot Games
1. Shurima: When Riot Games first revealed their map of Runeterra,the size of Shurima took some off-guard - but not as much as the amazing art. We saw bits and pieces of the ancient fallen empire's glory with the return of Azir, its last emperor. Now, it serves both as battleground among ascended demigods like Xerath, Azir and Nasus as well as a backdrop for much more human heroes and scoundrels like Sivir and Taliyah. If Riot would reveal more of its past and present, the future of Shurima may be as glorious as its past. | © Riot Games
If you haven't been under a rock for a while recently, you have probably heard about Arcane and how amazing it is. However, Runeterra has plenty of other amazing places and we can’t help but wonder what the artists behind it can do to flesh them out. It might be a bit early, sure, but we can still dream.
