The newest LoL champion, Briar, is going to be released very soon, with some key assets already leaking online thanks to some audio files which have been patched into the Public Beta Environment (PBE). This could hint at a release date for the vampire champion.
Briar is the next champion we're getting and she is going to be a jungler, which has many fans pretty hyped. The last jungler we got was none other than Bel'Veth who was another champion with rich and deep lore. Will Briar also impact the story and world of Runeterra like Bel'Veth did?
New LoL Champion: Briar Release Date Revealed With Assets
The hype for Naafiri has died down. She is slowly adjusting to the League of Legends meta with a few targeted nerfs heading her way in LoL Patch 13.16, but that's opened the flood gates for rumors and leaks of the next upcoming champion – Briar.
She's already been teased in VALORANT, and we know she will be a vampire and a jungler, but it seems that with some new data leaks from the PBE, the release date of the newest champion can already be guessed. Thank you, League of Legends data miners!
On Twitter, League of Legends content creator SkinSpotlights revealed some audio files that have been patched into the PBE for the client. These audio files are all related to "BR" which he believes is a sign for Briar – sorry, Brazilian League of Legends fans.
These audio clips show variations of doors opening in what seems to be a huge castle, which fits the theme of Briar, since she's been teased with an old vampiric-Dracula-like castle before.
WIth these things being added to the PBE now, just ahead of the PBE Patch 13.17, it could be a sign that Riot is getting ready to port over Briar and her kit to the client, which has players and content creators thinking that Briar will be released in LoL Patch 13.18 which is set to go live on September 13, 2023.
This means Briar will be playable on live servers starting on September 14, 2023. For some of you, you should be able to play her on the PBE around August 30, 2023 already when the PBE for Patch 13.18 is updated.
