CS2: Casual community unhappy with "The Armory" update

Less than a week has passed since we got CS2's biggest update yet. But the community are far from satsified.

On October 3rd, Valve rolled out "The Armory" in the form of a slightly delayed one-year anniversary update of the transition from Counter Strike: Global Offensive to CS2.

Whilst skins and other cosmetics stuff have become staple parts of many Counter-Strike updates over the past years, a large part of the community is not satisfied with Valve's work.

Why is the community unhappy with the latest update?

In part, the unhappiness is due to increased focus on cosmetics rather than gameplay:

Others pointed out issues like massive FPS drops immediately post update:

Former BIG Clan and fnatic AWPer Owen "smooya" Buttefield summed it up in his typical demeanor:

But there was also a small minority of people like Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard who appreciated the gameplay adjustments:

And, we need to mention the immediate exploits by the community to earn XP fast, in order to level up their Armory-passes as quick as possible, which forced Valve to step in:

In all, it seems as if Pros are largely happy, but casuals are not. The casual wanted an actual operation with new maps, like in CS:GO. Even more importantly, they wanted a working Anti-cheat.

What do you think about the update? Are you happy with the cosmetic stuff or sad that Valve did not add more new/improved gameplay features?
