A slow start and an unsuccessful comeback resulted in a painful loss for G2 Esports at IEM Rio 2024. They got sent down to the lower bracket and are facing elimination.

In their first outing since winning BLAST Fall Finals, just over a week ago, G2 Esports fell short to Heroic, in their opening game at IEM Rio 2024.
G2 is only one loss away from elimination in Rio!
It appeared to be a favorable situation for G2. The map veto resulted in Dust 2 being played as the series sole map, G2 also was granted the opportunity of a CT start.
This CT-site however did not go according to plan. They managed just 2 rounds all half!
The second of those came off a nice clutch from m0NESY:

Over the course of the second half, G2 slowly mounted a comeback. They got within 4 rounds at 6-10, before Heroic reached 12 and map/series point.
G2 did not surrender and fought hard, winning 4 rounds on the spin.
Just as G2 were about to grasp overtime, at 10-12, Heroic's Rasmus "sjuush" Beck closed out the game, with a fantastic Five-seveN triple kill:

Heroic's René "TeSeS" Madsen was leading the scoreboard, just missing out on 30 kills.

This ultimately is very disappointing for the G2 side. They have a massive game versus Eternal Fire coming up this evening, to avoid early elimination.
What do you think, will G2 win this game? Can they make a run through the lower bracket?
