What began as a private relationship between two popular Twitch streamers has now turned into one of the platform’s most serious public controversies.
In an emotional livestream, Emiru accused Mizkif of sexual assault, harassment, and psychological abuse. Following her statements, Mizkif also spoke out publicly, addressing the allegations and acknowledging that their relationship had been deeply toxic.
Emiru Speaks Out
In a livestream broadcast TwitchCon 2025, Emiru spoke about her past relationship with fellow streamer Mizkif and outlined several serious allegations against him. She stated that during their time together, she experienced emotional manipulation, harassment, and controlling behavior.
Emiru also recounted an incident in which, according to her, Mizkif attempted to initiate sexual activity without her consent. She said she screamed in response, after which he immediately stopped and left.
According to Emiru, the relationship had become increasingly volatile and distressing, involving anger, verbal aggression, and fear. She further claimed that after their breakup, Mizkif continued to contact her despite her objections, which she viewed as harassment and stalking. Emiru said she is considering taking legal action to protect herself and prevent any further contact.
She explained that she chose to speak publicly about her experiences only recently, after hearing from other women who described similar encounters with Mizkif.
Mizkif’s Response
After Emiru’s broadcast, Mizkif responded publicly and acknowledged that their relationship had been toxic. He admitted to inappropriate and controlling behavior, saying he had acted out of anger at times and had been possessive about aspects of Emiru’s life. According to Mizkif, both of them contributed to the instability of the relationship, which he described as mutually harmful.
He also accused Emiru of neglecting his pet rabbits during the period they lived together, saying this had been one of several sources of conflict between them. Both he and Emiru have since claimed that the other wanted to turn their relationship into something long-term, including discussions about marriage and children.
Mizkif later addressed the specific incident that Emiru had described, saying that while the encounter did occur, he did not view it as an assault. He said that when she screamed, he stopped and left.
While admitting to harmful behavior and emotional volatility, Mizkif rejected Emiru’s characterization of events as abuse or assault. He expressed regret for how the relationship developed and said that it had ultimately been damaging for both of them.

Reactions to Emiru’s livestream have sparked widespread discussion across the streaming community. Many creators and viewers said they take her statements seriously and expressed empathy for her decision to speak publicly. At the same time, others cautioned against premature conclusions, emphasizing the importance of due process and careful judgement.
Perhaps the only certainty in situations like this is the need to listen carefully and respectfully, without rushing to decide who is right. In a culture built on instant reaction, that kind of patience may be the hardest thing to hold on to.
