Streamer Lacari is facing significant backlash after accidentally leaking a text document containing explicit and allegedly illegal content/files. He has since released a statement addressing the incident.
Streamer Lacari was banned on Kick and Twitch after leaking a text document that contained explicit and illegal content. He is facing significant backlash both for the document itself and for continuing his stream after the incident, and has now come forward with a statement addressing the issue.
The Text Document That Got Him Canceled
The Notepad document was only visible on screen for a brief moment. However, as we all know how the internet works, that was more than enough time for anyone who wanted to screenshot the reference links to do so.
The reference links in question led to explicit and illegal content. Some file titles included phrases such as “Pure nudism teens.” Lacari continued streaming after the incident, which became one of the main points of criticism against him, as he did not immediately stop the stream to delete the VoD.

He claimed that the text document had been downloaded automatically and that he did not download it himself. According to him, he deleted the file as soon as he noticed it. However, that apparently was not sufficient on Windows 11, as the file appeared on his stream again shortly afterward.
"I was surfing a site. The [stuff] got downloaded. Like I didn't trigger a download. I didn't trigger a download. I opened up the text document. I saw what was in it. I deleted the text document."
This claim has already been debunked by streamer Quin69, who attempted to replicate the alleged bug during another stream but was unable to trigger anything resembling the behavior Lacari described in his initial statement.
Apparently, the Notepad file did not sit well with several of Lacari’s moderators either. Allegedly, some of them stepped down due to the implications of the document.
Lacari's Addiction With Explicit Content
The streamer came forth with another statement, where he talked directly about the criticism. He denies ever consuming such content or willingly downloading it for that matter.
"I decided to keep streaming in an effort to downplay the severity of the situation which was deceptive. This was a mistake that I deeply regret and apologize for."
He appears to acknowledge the seriousness of the issue but then goes on to say that he has checked himself into an addiction program, stating that he has struggled with consuming explicit content for as long as he can remember.
"During this time I'll be able to work out there while also receiving professional therapy and treatment for my addiction."
The program will last 30 days, during which he will disappear from the internet, something that may ultimately be for the best.
During my last stream I opened notepad which revealed a link. The list in the link included titles that suggested child sex abuse material further down. I have never consumed this type of content nor do I think it's acceptable.
