Sony uploaded a video to their YouTube channel, showing us the first day on the set of the upcoming Spider-Man movie.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day has finally started filming and is set to release 2026. To hype us up for the movie and give us a little sneak peek, Sony uploaded a video of the first day on set. We can see Tom Holland finally back in the iconic red and blue suit.
In the video, Spider-Man rips the hatch off a tank while riding on it through the city of New York. Well, not quiet New York – the city that is acting as a double for the big apple is actually Glasgow. For this major action scene several streets have been closed off.
A Premiere On Set
Even though this is Tom Hollands fourth "day one" on a Spider-Man set, fans were present for the first while the scenes were shot and got to watch the friendly neighborhood spider and the crew at work. There even was a young boy in a Spider-Man costume and Tom Holland lifted him over the barricade to pose for pictures with him.
This reminded many of the legendary scene in The Amazing Spider Man where Andrew Garfield took on the role of the web slinger. After Spider-Man lost a loved one and fell into depression, he came back to save a boy in a Spider-Man costume. We love a good throwback, and Tom Holland's kindness was a great mirroring of that scene and a blast from the past for every fan.
With the fans cheering Tom Holland on and the fun interactions he had with them, he probably had an easy time getting back into the role of the beloved hero.
