Guy Who Painted “How Menstruating Feels To Us” Gets Clowned By The Entire Internet

A male TikToker showed his painting of "how menstruating feels to us" – and the internet is very amused by it.

“I painted how menstruating feels to us,” reads the caption of a TikTok video posted by a young man sharing his artwork with the world. You might have thought his artwork would show blood or a uterus, or at least use the color red. But it shows a masculine figure looking up at a purple and yellow horse. It's obvious to everyone that he doesn't know much about menstruation.

It’s hard to figure out what the most ironic thing about the video is: the fact that a (most likely) cisgender man is talking about how it feels to have your period, that the rings on his fingers were spared from the paint, or the painting itself (at least in this context). Everyone seems to agree, though, that this rage-baity TikTok is one of the funniest things on the internet right now. The comment section is filled with jokes like "Currently on my period, and I'm so excited to be visited by the period horse" and "Why is there a mermaid Socrates?"

Both women and men have parodied the video with captions such as "I painted how getting kicked in the balls feels to us," offering their own satirical take on the original artwork.

A similar video on TikTok by a woman titled "I drew how being a man feels to us" sums up the issue and irony behind the original – the artist has no idea what women's issues or menstruation feel like.

Looking at the profile of the original TikToker, Harris Earls (username "harrisearls1"), it's clear that this wasn't his first attempt at going viral with rage bait. He posted many similar videos displaying his paintings with captions such as "I painted how ovulation feels to us" and "I painted how it felt when we French kissed and my Eiffel Tower got a bonjour" – whatever that means. At some point, he started creating lore around his paintings: "My son's girlfriend cheated on him midway through the painting he was doing for her."

For The First Time -

Well, at least many people know about his paintings now. I just don’t know if going viral through rage bait is a good way to start a career as an artist …
