Halle Bailey Gets Restraining Order Against DDG – Disturbing Allegations of Abuse and Harassment
Halle Bailey, star of The Little Mermaid, has filed for a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend DDG (legal name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), accusing him of a pattern of violent and controlling behavior.
The court decision comes after months of alleged physical abuse, emotional manipulation, and relentless harassment, painting a deeply troubling picture of the Twitch streamer's behavior.
Violent Assault And Lasting Trauma
According to court documents, DDG’s abuse reached a terrifying peak in January 2025, when he reportedly attacked Bailey during an argument, yanking her hair and smashing her head into the steering wheel of his car. This assault allegedly left her with a broken tooth and severe bruises, with graphic photos submitted to the court as evidence of his violent outbursts.
In March, DDG’s behavior escalated further. He reportedly broke into Bailey’s home without her consent, invading her personal space and sending her a chilling photo of her empty bed. Just days later, he returned to her property, destroyed a security camera, and stole her phone, which he later threw out of his car window in a fit of rage while screaming "Get it b*tch".

Online Harassment And Public Smear Campaign
As if the physical violence wasn’t enough, Bailey claims that DDG has been harassing her online, using his platform to spread lies and encourage his followers to attack her. This toxic behavior has reportedly led to waves of hate messages and threats, further adding to the emotional trauma Bailey has endured. Her fans have been pointing this behavior out for months.
Protecting Her Son From A Toxic Influence
A judge has officially granted Halle Bailey a domestic violence restraining order against DDG, requiring him to stay at least 100 yards away from her. The order also allows Halle to take their nearly 18-month-old son, Halo, to Italy for two months while she films a movie this summer.
Additionally, the court has banned DDG from posting or streaming any content about Halle or their son, after she accused him of encouraging his fans to harass her through his livestreams.
Shortly after TMZ broke the news, DDG was on stream pretending he just found out about the restraining order, even though he legally has to be notified beforehand, meaning he knew the whole time.
Ironically, by talking about Halle on stream, he may also be violating the restraining order he claims to be surprised about.
you know how insane you have to be to pretend you don't know you have a restraining order. You literally have to be notified. https://t.co/9mHtmpOuaN

Using His Baby For Clicks
Halle Bailey has also called out her ex-boyfriend DDG for showing their one-year-old son, Halo, on a Twitch livestream without her consent. During a session with streamer Kai Cenat, DDG put the baby in a Balenciaga bag that is not safe for a baby and carried him around, sparking backlash online.
For months, DDG has complained in his streams that Bailey won’t let him see his son, framing her as the problem without ever addressing why she might be taking these steps. He frequently uses his son for clicks, featuring him on streams and insulting Bailey to his audience.
Many have pointed out that if DDG was truly concerned about his parental rights, he would be fighting for custody in court instead of dragging Bailey online, leading some to believe he has something to hide, which turned out to be true.
The Same Old Rhetoric
On social media, the reaction to the situation has been pretty divided, with support roughly split 50-50. Many people are standing with Halle, pointing out that there’s actual photo evidence of her injuries, countless screenshots, and even a restraining order, which isn’t easy to get without substantial proof.
If a court granted that, it means there had to be a significant amount of evidence, much of which is already circulating online. It’s also worth noting that one of his ex-girlfriends, Rubi Rose, has previously spoken about his abusive behavior.

Despite this, some of DDG’s fans claim that Halle is lying just to ruin his career or gain fame, which makes no sense when you consider the facts. Halle Bailey is a Disney star with a long-established acting and music career.
She’s been performing since she was a child, starred in a major Disney film, has been publicly supported by superstars like Beyoncé, and has major upcoming projects. DDG is a Twitch streamer with an attempted rap career and no mainstream success. Most people who know him only do so because of his connection to Halle, and it’s clear she’s been trying to distance herself from him for months.
A court hearing to finalize the terms of this order is set for June 4th.
