Ever faced a tech problem so bizarre, you didn’t know whether to laugh or cry? Here’s one you won’t believe!

Sometimes, a tech issue comes up that leaves you completely speechless. One user recently found himself stuck with a LAN cable that wouldn’t budge, no matter how hard he tried. What started as a simple problem quickly escalated when he couldn’t find an easy fix and had to get creative. The situation grew more complicated as he resorted to increasingly unconventional methods. What seemed like a minor glitch turned into a real challenge. Here’s everything you need to know about this bizarre incident.
Desperate Measures, Disastrous Results
Reddit user Curious-Estimate-326 explains the bizarre circumstances of how he got into this situation like this. He was sitting in a library working, only to realize that the Wi-Fi in the institution didn’t meet his needs. He had the clever idea (spoiler: his last of the day) to connect a LAN cable from one of the library’s PCs to his laptop for a better connection. However, when the library closed and he couldn’t unplug the cable, he made what was probably the dumbest decision of all: he cut the LAN cable.

Since he cut the cable as close to the connector as possible, there was nothing left to grab onto in order to pull it out. The situation is so bizarre that he couldn’t find any similar problem with a solution on the internet, and for those who aren’t living under a rock like Patrick, we know you can literally find anything on the internet.
The Fix
So, what now? A small group of Reddit users, who aren’t making fun of him, start offering solutions. The most commonly suggested solution is to drill with an electric screwdriver into the exposed area to create grip and then pull the cable out – potentially earning the title of IT King in the process. A less satisfying suggestion was a USB stick-style LAN adapter, which, however, would likely offer a weaker connection compared to the classic LAN cable.
Since the LAN port is likely soldered in place, there's probably no way to simply open the laptop and push the LAN connector out. It's also important to remember that the person cut the library's LAN cable. I mean, what's next? "I accidentally pressed print ten times instead of once, the library was closing, and you won't believe how I solved the situation with a brick."
So, how would you help this man with his troubles so he won’t have to shout, “LAN port stuck, please, I beg you!”? And if you get that joke, tell us in the comments how life was before the printing press.
