Scarlett Johansson, known as Black Widow in the MCU universe, already has a number of awards to her name. But there's one thing she still doesn't understand.

Most people know Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, or rather Black Widow, from the MCU. Despite two Academy Award nominations, she still doesn't understand how Endgame received nothing more than a nomination for Best Visual Effects.
Oscars Don't Like Heroes
In a recent interview, she expressed her confusion by saying that it was an “impossible” movie that shouldn't have worked, but still managed to wow people all over the world. It is also one of the most successful films of all time. If you look at the past, it's rare for superhero movies to receive major recognition at the awards ceremony. The only MCU movie to do so was Black Panther in 2018, starring the late Chadwick Boseman, who sadly died in 2020.

The Future Of Black Widow
We think her performance as Natasha Romanoff definitely deserved an award, and it's clear she loves her role just as much. Still, she won't make a comeback, after her character died in the last installment of the Avengers series.
It would be very hard for me to understand in what capacity [returning] would make sense for me, for the character that I play.
She also notes that it is not only important for the character to stay dead. Especially for the fans, for whom it is very important. That's why she only returned to the role as a prequel - in the 2021 film Black Widow, which she also helped produce.

Endgame Vs. Infinity War
The community is divided, because while some believe that Endgame should definitely have won an award, Infinity War is simply better story-wise. Nevertheless, fans are generally of the opinion that both films are breathtaking, with strong acting performances and incredible special effects. Infinity War was released in 2018 and is the third installment in the Avengers series. The movie was generally liked by fans, and many see it as the best of the bunch.

What comes after the Avengers? It's the Thunderbolts of course! And while we think that this name definitely sounds cool, in truth, they are called the... New Avengers.
Do you think Endgame deserved an Oscar? Or that Infinity War deserved it more?
