Video games have always been a family affair for me. When I was five years old, my grandmother showed me the first video game I can remember: Super Mario World on the SNES. Once I put my hand on the joystick, I felt right at home in the colorful world of pixels. Even when I was young, I had the vision that I would love to show the world how video games could connect generations and be just as important a source of entertainment as movies and television already were.

My mother worked in the Electronic Sports League for years and always knew about the latest games. After playing through countless Playstation games with my brothers, she showed me a game in 2010 that was on everyone's minds in the ESL and changed my life to some extent: League of Legends. I was hooked from the very first moment. The gameplay, the events in the years that followed and later the e-sports scene. My first live event in Berlin was incredible and it made me realize once again how important the fans and the community are for a sport.

A lot has changed in 2025. My favorite games are wide-ranging, from Counter-Strike and Overwatch to World of Tanks and Kingdom Come, whether it's a card game or a cozy game, it doesn't matter whether it's pure fiction or historical. Nevertheless, I still find myself on the Rift almost every day.

After my articles about history in the school newspaper and a prize from the BMFSFJ in the MIXED UP competition in 2016 and a game design degree, I decided to combine my strengths and write about games and entertainment instead of just talking about them all day.
