A content creator's bizarre attraction was temporarily closed after inspectors found that the chicken was not done.
Omani influencer Ahmed Al-Saadi, who has more than 1.7 million Instagram followers, is known for his unusual cooking videos and over-the-top food experiments. His latest project, however, attracted attention for all the wrong reasons.
As part of the Khareef Dhofar Festival, Al-Saadi created a unique attraction in which dozens of chickens were cooked while attached to miniature amusement-park rides. The unusual setup quickly earned the nickname "chicken-amusement-park."
Chickens Cooked On A Roller Coaster And Ferris Wheel
In videos shared on Instagram, rows of whole chickens can be seen riding a small roller coaster fitted with a built-in oven. As the ride slowly climbed to the top, the heat was meant to cook the meat before the chickens raced back down the track.
The attraction also featured a Ferris wheel carrying rows of chickens that slowly rotated as they cooked. Once they were ready, the food was served to visitors attending the festival.
Health Inspectors Shut The Attraction Down
According to GDN Online, the attraction was temporarily closed shortly after opening following an inspection by local health authorities.
Laboratory tests on food samples reportedly found that several chickens were still undercooked and contained traces of blood, meaning they did not meet the required food safety standards.
The attraction will only be allowed to reopen once the operators have addressed the issues and can demonstrate that all hygiene and food quality regulations have been met.
