The internet is raising funds for a Red Baron employee who was harassed by a prankster.
A Red Baron employee has received widespread support online after a confrontation with an Instagram prankster went viral.
The incident took place inside a grocery store, where the worker was stocking frozen pizzas when a content creator approached him. The prankster reportedly pretended to steal money from the employee's phone via Apple Pay.
In footage circulating on social media, the employee can be seen expressing his frustration as he confronts the prankster. His reaction quickly struck a chord with viewers, many of whom argued that the stunt was neither funny nor harmless.
Worker Explains His Frustration
During the confrontation, the employee explained that he was already working long hours and had family responsibilities waiting for him at home.
"You're probably making money off of this. I can't even pay my goddamn mortgage! And I got four kids at home. So not funny!" he said. The worker also explained that he was already running behind schedule and would have to wake up at 5 a.m. to visit 10 more stores.

Harmless content, or picked the wrong guy?

His comments resonated with viewers who felt the prankster had failed to consider the real-life pressures faced by ordinary workers. Many viewed his outburst as an understandable reaction to being bothered while trying to earn a living.
Internet Steps Up to Help
As the footage spread across social media platforms, viewers began rallying behind the employee. Some criticized prank content that relies on senseless provocation, while others expressed sympathy for the worker's financial and family pressures.
The support eventually extended beyond comments and reposts. A GoFundMe campaign was launched to help the employee and his family, with the fundraiser accruing over $100,000 as of writing.
The fundraiser's organizer, Luke Oakenshield, shared in a Reddit post that the Red Baron employee and his family are "blown away with what is happening." He also confirmed that GoFundMe has taken over the fundraiser and will see that all the money is directly donated to the Red Baron employee.
