Jacksepticeye visited and toured the Alveus sanctuary. But not only that, during his visit, he announced that he would donate $100,000 to the non-profit organization, bringing Maya Higa to tears.
Jacksepticeye Tours the Alveus Sanctuary And Announces Donation
Jacksepticeye, or Sean McLoughlin, one of the biggest and longest running names on YouTube, visited Alveus Sanctuary during a livestream on May 19, 2026.
Alveus Sanctuary is a non-profit organisation founded by Maya Higa in 2021. It houses non-releasable animals and provides online conservation education on their YouTube and Twitch channels. There is also a 24/7 livestream in which viewers can watch the animals doing their thing. Alveus is latin and means "the channel or bed of a river".
During the livestream Sean tours the sanctuary and meets many of the animals living there, including Georgie the African bullfrog.

After the tour, McLaughlin announces his intention to donate $100,000 to Maya. The sanctuary-founder can't believe it, asking if that is a joke multiple times but Sean assures her it is not. He had planned it as a surprise, explaining he was inspired by the organization’s mission of wildlife education and rehabilitation.
It's one of those things that I always thought was cool and I wanna donate and I wanna help out and I think it's cool what you guys do here and seeing it in person, I think, is really spectacular.
He calls on companies and people "who have the money" to donate instead of asking his chat and the people watching the stream.
Instead of always asking you guys to donate, why not do it myself, because I can.
When Maya realized he was being serious, she burst into tears hugging the YouTuber and profusely thanking him for his generosity.
Thank you so much, are you kidding me? That's crazy!
She claims "nobody has ever done that," implying that despite having raised millions, this might be the biggest single donation they have ever recieved.
Sean wants to use is reach for good wishes to set an example.
There's so many people in this streamer-space who have money that I would like to see help out more, not build mountains for themselves, but help other people.
UMMMM

JACKSEPTICEYE JUST DONATED $100,000 TO THE SANCTUARY???? OH MY GOD pic.twitter.com/tau12MqMe3
You can watch the whole 3-hour tour here.
Although it might be the biggest donation, it is not the first major one by a streamer. Emiru has recently contributed $30,000 during a charity auction and in the beginning of the sanctuary's life, Ludwig Ahgren made a $53,000 donation.
Sean's donation and his stance urging companies and streamers to help out instead of hoard their money are celebrated by the audience commenting things like "W Sean" and "Sean is the real one."
