After months of speculation, it’s finally confirmed: Krysten Ritter is stepping back into the role of Jessica Jones for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.

Marvel Finally Confirms It

For a long time, fans weren’t sure whether Jessica Jones would ever come back. There were hints, Instagram posts and a lot of wishful thinking, but no confirmation. That changed during Disney’s 2025 upfronts, when Krysten Ritter walked out on stage with Charlie Cox and made it official: she’s back as Jessica Jones.

What’s Changing In Season 2

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is set to release in March 2026 and will run for eight episodes. It’s part of Phase Six of the MCU, which means it’ll likely tie into the bigger universe.

Matt Murdock will be trying to fight back against Mayor Fisk’s anti–vigilante task force, and this time, he’s not doing it alone. Jessica will be part of a group of underground allies helping him resist the crackdown. From what Marvel’s hinted at, and from the way Krysten Ritter talked about the role, Jessica Jones will play a major part in the season.

A Sign Of Something Bigger?

Bringing Jessica Jones back could mean a lot of things. Maybe Marvel is finally committing to reconnecting its Netflix characters with the Disney+ universe. Maybe it’s just a one–off. Either way, fans are excited and already speculating who else might show up in Daredevil’s new team. There’s a lot of hope that Luke Cage could return next, especially with how strong his connection to Jessica was in the original shows.
