The long awaited 7th part of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is coming: Steel Ball Run is officially in production.

Production Finally Confirmed

After a lot of speculation in the past years, the official JoJo's X account confirmed that the 7th part of the popular anime is in production. The teaser was revealed during JOJODAY's livestream event and simultaneously released on Warner Bros. Japans YouTube channel. Animation is handled by David Productions, who are famous for their impeccable animation quality and defined the outstanding visual style of all other parts.

Quick Summary

Steel Ball Run follows Johnny Joestar, a paralyzed ex-jockey, and Gyro Zeppeli with his mysterious "Spin Technique" in a bizarre horse race across 1890s America. Facing deadly Stand users, Johnny seeks redemption and a miracle, all while fate and ambition collide. Every part is a new story to some extent, but it is definitely recommended to watch the previous ones before, so you don't miss out on all the quirky backstory!

Release

Warner Bros. Japan only announced that the anime is in production. Sadly, we see no animated content in the teaser, and production is reportedly in very early stages. Like the previous parts, it is very unlikely the anime will release in 2025. It was previously rumored that production on this part will take a lot more time due to the horse races being very difficult to animate.
