The incident reportedly involved a woman named Destiny Aleman, who was on a yacht with Shabazz at the time. Him and former boxing champion Adrien Broner were doing a 24-hour stream. At around 8 hours and 5 minutes into it, Broner and Aleman can be seen sitting on a couch talking when she says
This conversation is going to get me in trouble.
pointing towards Shabazz. The streamer then walks up to them, upset about the two having a conversation when he had said before that she should not be talking to other men. He grabs the woman by her wrist, pulling her off the couch and kicking her off the yacht while Broner claims he was testing her.

According to police records, the situation escalated off stream. Aleman told the officers she began recording Shabazz on her phone, to which he responded with grabbing her forearm and trying to get her phone, scratching her lightly in the process.
Police also obtained Ring camera footage from the yacht owner that showed the streamer yelling for someone to take Aleman’s phone so she could not record him. He put his hands on her multiple times trying to grab the phone. It also showed Aleman curling up on the ground while trying to protect the phone before eventually breaking free.
The arrest was also not livestreamed. DeenTheGreat just disappeared around an hour after the initial altercation. Broner continued by himself but ultimately cut the stream short.
Not Guilty?
After his arrest, Shabazz formally entered a written plea of not guilty, as reported by TMZ. The filing also demands a jury trial and requests discovery from prosecutors.
Richard Cooper, Shabazz's attorney asks for patience:
Mr. Shabazz has had a target on his back for some time now by people wishing to make a name for themselves off of his hard work. The facts are incomplete so far and we ask for patience. We expect the legal process - not social media commentary or clout-chasing - to determine the outcome.
Just one day later, DeenTheGreat was already free again. He posted his $2,500 bail and was picked up by Adrien Broner live on stream, who was already wearing a "Free Deen" shirt just a few hours after booking. They then continue to celebrate his freedom with the chat joining in cheering for their hero.

While Deen does not think he did anything wrong and celebrates his actions and his freedom with his friends, fans online simultaneously question whether this does actually count as attempted robbery and stress the violence of the assault with him putting his hands on a woman multiple times. The situation shows how far streamers go to control not only the people around them put also their own image and narrative with what is recorded and what isn't. The outcome of all this, however, will be detemined by the court.
