Ronaldo expands his Social Media empire
Cristiano Ronaldo (39) recently made waves with his new YouTube channel, which shattered subscriber records in no time.
After retiring from professional soccer, Ronaldo is now setting his sights on conquering the social media world.

This isn’t entirely new territory for him. His Instagram presence is already unmatched, boasting a mind-blowing 643 million followers as of November 2024 – more than even the official Instagram account.
This makes Ronaldo the most-followed person on the planet.
Mr. Beast seizes an opportunity
While Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson (26) can’t compete with Ronaldo’s Instagram numbers, his account has “only” 50 million followers, he’s a giant on YouTube, where he commands a staggering 267 million subscribers.
MrBeast is known for his high-reach and media-effective videos. He is filming increasingly expensive challenges, including his very own version of Squid Game version.

He also regularly supports charitable projects such as #TeamTrees (planting 20 million trees) and #TeamSeas (removing 30 million pounds of trash from the oceans.

His content is a mix of entertainment, generosity and spectacular ideas that resonate particularly well with a young target audience.
The collab everyone’s talking about
On November 21, the two superstars launched a joint livestream on Ronaldo’s YouTube channel, titled “I Meet MrBeast to Break the Internet.”
The goal was clear: both aim to solidify their positions as the most influential figures online by leveraging their combined reach.

For MrBeast, collaborations are a proven strategy.
Earlier in 2024, he produced a video featuring 50 of the internet’s biggest personalities, including Kai Cenat, KSI, Logan Paul, Pokimane, and others. Dubbed his “biggest video ever,” it significantly boosted his already massive audience.
Similarly, Ronaldo and MrBeast’s livestream had a massive impact. Within 24 hours, it amassed over 16 million views, with 160,000 viewers tuning in live.
The duo discussed helping each other achieve the ambitious milestone of one billion followers, a goal Ronaldo is closer to than MrBeast.
They also discussed Beast's videos, the crazy challenges he's taking on and how many subscribers they both have on their channels. It wasn't really that exciting.

Mr Beast was recently criticised because insiders criticised the working conditions, lack of pay and the promotion of cryptocurrency. Here, too, he did not necessarily gain favour.
There were statements such as:
"The worst thing... I assume you fly private everywhere. Flying commercial sometimes is brutal. Its like... oof.
In the same breath, they talked about how to use a commercial flight with Ronald for content.
Despite the massive turnout, reactions to the collaboration were mixed. Some fans expressed disappointment, as they had expected Ronaldo to team up with Lionel Messi.
