PewDiePie got invited by a animation studio WIT to work with the animators there for a day.
They worked on Attack on Titan, Dandadan, Spy x Family and more. After hearing about how PewDiePie challenged himself to draw something every single day to work on his drawing skills they invited him to spend a day with them.
PewDiePie's Drawing Experiences
In January 2024 PewDiePie, also known as Felix, uploaded a video in which he shared that he challenged himself to draw something every single day for 30 days. He then followed it up with an update video in which he stated that he turned those 30 days into 365.
Since starting his drawing journey, the YouTuber greatly inspired others with these videos. Among other things, he apparently caught the attention of the renowned anime studio Wit, whose employees have worked on legendary anime series such as Attack on Titan, which ultimately led to the invitation.
In The Studio
On the day of his studio visit, PewDiePie said he was very nervous. He was particularly scared of the little exercise in which he had to draw various poses from an angle together with the artists under a time limit. In his video about the experience he says:
I was so scared of this drawing session I almost didn't even accept this offer.
During his visit, he got to see various departments of the studio and was able to show his viewers how much work goes into even a single scene of an anime.
PewDiePie who, as already mentioned, enjoys drawing himself, pointed out how inspiring it can be to share the work that a major studio like wit does. In the age of AI where a lot of things are automatic or can be generated by a computer it might be more important than ever to show the creative process of people like these artists.
