Polish streamer Łatwogang held a charity livestream that totally went off the rails – in a good way. Hundreds of guests joined, millions of people watched and over 69 million dollars donated towards Cancer Fighters made the event into a new record for the largest charity livestream fundraiser ever.

$69 Million For The Children Of The Cancer Fighters Foundation

Łatwogang, real name Piotrek Garkowski, is a Polish influencer with 1.26 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.5 million followers on Instagram and 2.9 million followers on TikTok. On April 17, he decided to start a charity fundraising stream on YouTube titled "I’m listening to nine days of diss against cancer to help children from the Cancer Fighters Foundation". The diss track in question was the song "Ciągle tutaj jestem (diss na raka)" ("I'm Still Here (Cancer Diss)") by Polish rapper Bedoes 2115 and Maja Mecan, an 11 year old girl battling leukemia with the Cancer Fighters Foundation.

Cancer Fighters Foundation is a Polish nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients and funding research to improve treatment.

The original goal of the stream was collecting 500,000 złoty (~ $138k) but that was quickly surpassed as big donations started rolling in. The stream even went on a few hours longer than anticipated when donations kept coming.

There were not only countless small donations but also donations in sums of tens and hundreds of thousands and even millions of złoty. The stream became bigger and bigger. Donations came from big polish companies and celebrities. A lot of Poland's top celebrities, influencers and athletes even showed up to Garkowski's studio apartment or called online to support the stream. Around 89 guests shaved their heads in solidarity and more that 20 guests decided to get a JR tattoo (polish equivalent for "F Cancer"). In the final hours of the event, children from Cancer Fighters and their families joined, along with Bedoes, whose “Cancer Diss" started all this.

In the end, the stream had around 1.6 million viewers on YouTube at once and raised a total of 251 million złoty or around 69 million US-dollars.

A New Record

This dizzying sum sets a new record for the largest charity livestream ever. It surpassed similar events by high-profile creators like Mr. Beast, who lead a stream in August 2025 that collected around $12 million. But Mr. Beast seems to see the positive side of this only commenting on the event with "Love when people use their platform for good :)".

The stream even beat the official Guinness Word Records of "Most money raised by a live stream fundraiser" and "Most viewers for a charity donation live stream on YouTube" by far.

"The Event Was Not Big, It Wasn't Even Huge, It Was Insane"

Polish people on Reddit report the waves this event made in their country describing it as "insane" and "ENORMOUS". Apparently, the stream was not only a big hit online but as it grew larger and larger it snowballed into something unimaginable. Not only the guest appearances and donations of the celebrities and athletes helped bringing this event into mainstream, but at some point it was covered by all main and some local TV stations, radio stations and some online TV stations. They also used the QR-codes that forwarded to the charity. These codes were even displayed in some real-life stores.

Cancer Awareness Day

The Aoril 26 may officially become the Cancer Awareness day as a result of this stream when the Sejm-president answers the event organizers' plea.

The streamer Łatwogang and the rapper Bedoes published a long statement after the event.

They say:

First and foremost – thank you for everything you've done. We don't accept congratulations or thanks. This is a joint effort of all of us, and we congratulate you on what you've done for the kids and how you've moved the entire country.

They refuse any new collaborations as to not use their heightened popularity for their own gain.

We will not exploit this for ourselves in any way – ever.

They also will not interact with the media as they feel they have said enough in the nine days of the stream.

We ask the media that cares to publicize the fundraiser and raise awareness that CANCER IS NOT A DEATH. Because that's all we care about.
Don't be offended by our lack of media presence, it's simply not about us – it's about children and everyone who has no choice but to fight this [awful disease], and let's give them strength every day, give them a voice, invite them to the program. Let's change the way we think about cancer forever. It's not a death sentence – we will win and fight it. Always with our heads held high. We can change the world and we will.

They do have one appeal though:

We also do not accept any medals of merit; instead, we ask that they be awarded to nurses, doctors, and physicians who have to fight every day, and we appeal for April 26 to be designated as Cancer Awareness Day.

And Czarzasty, the Sejm-president does not seem to be averse to this idea, as he stated on Polish TV channel N24:

If the organizers of the fundraiser, whom I congratulate, wish to maintain this appeal, then today the Chancellery of the Sejm, because someone has to do this, will contact the organizers, absolutely without political interference. And we can do this if these people still feel so inclined. That's the declaration I wanted to make. If they decide to go this route, we will be happy to help.

This originally small Polish stream produced waves across the world and shows what people are capable of if they come together for a good cause. Not only the enormous sum of money but also the awareness and compassion this event generated is one of a kind. In the words of Łatwogang and Bedoes: F cancer!
