A shocking clip from a Twitch livestream has sparked serious backlash across social media.
Twitch streamer AspenKartier has been banned from the platform after a clip from one of her livestreams sparked outrage over her treatment of her dog – rightfully so. The audio from the moment circulated online and led to intense criticism from viewers who believe the animal was harmed during the stream.
Animal Abuse Live On Stream
The incident happened during a livestream on January 28. Viewers on Reddit and X watched a clip where AspenKartier reacts after her dog apparently escaped from its cage. While the dog itself was only briefly shown on camera, the audio captured the streamer asking how it got out, followed by repeated yelping from the animal that many interpreted as distress sounds.

The clips spread online, with users accusing her of striking the dog multiple times based solely on the sounds and context. After those posts went viral, Twitch took action and banned her account.
Viewer Reactions And Outrage
People who saw the clip expressed shock and anger at what they heard. Many commenters used strong language condemning the behavior, calling it animal abuse and urging that the dog be taken to a safer home.
"Looks like a case of Animal Cruelty!!!! Please RESCUE that poor Dog, then send this Sick ***** straight to jail!"
Even after AspenKartier tried to downplay the situation, a large part of the community remains unconvinced.
"Yes, that’s why he yelped at the end and she’s too stupid to even realize what she’s done."
Instead of calming things down, her follow-up posts made the backlash worse. Showing the dog on social media and insisting everything was fine did little to change how the original audio was perceived.

"that yelp means she did permanent damage. poor baby needs to be removed from her care immediately!"
Across socials, the dominant reaction is still justified outrage. A lot of viewers argue that, regardless of intent, the moment should never have happened in the first place, and that owning a pet comes with a responsibility that goes beyond damage control posts. Once that line is crossed, trust is extremely hard to rebuild.
