Twitch Streamer's Spelling Mistake Made Platform Change Its Own Name

In her latest Stream, herokerrey made a spelling mistake that had a bigger impact than she expected.

On August 22, herokerrey (real name Kelley) hosted a charity stream for APAMSA (the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association). Viewers could donate $5 to get their name written on Kelley's body. One of the viewers was Twitch itself, and donated $5 to have "Twitch" written on her forehead.

Apparently, writing on your forehead is not so easy, because as soon as Kelley was done, she realized her spelling mistake and got "Twith" instead of "Twitch" written on her forehead.

"Twith" showed some mercy and wrote in the chat:

U were so close

And took it even further on X. For a short time, Twitch's official X account was called "Twith".

Now we know what Twitch workers do on their break, nice to know.
