TwitchCon San Diego, which was supposed to be a safe space for streaming stars and their fans to meet, was overshadowed by several incidents caused by rival Kick streamers.

Chaotic scenes unfolded at TwitchCon in San Diego as several Twitch streamers faced harassment and even physical attacks from Kick creators. Numerous Twitch stars reported harassment and outright assault by creators on the rival platform.
Kick streamers cause chaos, including pushing Twitch rivals into moving trains
In a rather disturbing incident, Twitch stars nmplol and Wake Wilder were kissed and even licked by a Kick streamer during an impromptu fan meeting. The same Kick streamer then made offensive comments to well-known Twitch star xQc. As the situation escalated, xQc tried to escape, but the Kick streamer continued to harass him outside the venue.
In another incident, a confrontation between a Kick streamer and another creator escalated to the point where the streamer was pushed in front of a moving train!

Meanwhile, Twitch streamer Erobb found himself in a full-blown brawl after a Kick creator publicly accused him of cheating on his long-term partner. These violent incidents sparked outrage among streamers, who demanded an explanation from Twitch.
Consequences for Kick streamers: Platform takes action
The Kick streamer who harassed both nmplol and xQc has now been banned from Kick. In a tweet, the streamer commented on his behavior: "My actions right or wrong do not represent Kick. If I did the same stuff on any other platform, I would be labeled as just 'streamer'" - whatever he means by that. The events at TwitchCon highlight the increasingly aggressive behavior of some streamers and raise questions about how streaming platforms should handle such escalations.
Whose side are you on in the Kick vs. Twitch war? This certainly wasn't a good look for the former...
