After Matchroom Boxing sued Jake Paul, Paul is now countersuing boxing promoter Eddie Hearn for over $100 million dollars.

Since stepping into the boxing ring, Jake Paul hasn’t just been throwing punches, he's been getting into verbal spats with fellow athletes, legends, experts, and promoters. And a new spat has just begun, between Paul and Eddie Hearn, the boss of Matchroom Boxing, who promoted Jake's first professional fight back in the day.
Hearn vs. Paul
After Paul's first fight, him and Hearn went their separate ways, but now their paths have crossed again, with Hearn questioning Paul's skills and calling him a "sideshow attraction."
In response, Jake claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that Glenn Feldman had been bribed to favor Matchroom fighters in certain boxing matches.
Consequently, Hearn and Matchroom began suing Jake for $100 million in damages.
And now, Jake Paul is launching a counterattack. He’s filed a countersuit, with his lawyer claiming that this is a form of intimidation from Hearn, who’s supposedly trying to "chill his freedom of speech" and "silence other critical voices in the boxing industry."
According to Jake, his goal is to stop Matchroom from stirring up more costly and time-consuming legal battles that limit the free speech of journalists, media organizations, and anyone else who talks about these topics.
