It is no secret that big streamers can earn a lot of money, which makes it even more refreshing to see them use that money and platform for good.
Over the years, many streamers and YouTubers have donated money to different organizations, or even started entirely their own projects to help fund things they find important. Some of them have been in the industry for over a decade, others, like Kai Cenat, are part of a newer wave of streamers following in these footsteps.
Kai Cenat's Work In Nigeria
Kai Cenat is currently in Nigeria to visit a school that he funded. According to The Street Journal, Cenat returned to Nigeria just one year after his first trip there, checking on the school building project he is supporting there. For this project, he is planning to provide free education for the children in a part of the city Lagos that is also called the "floating slum".
And he seems to be really invested in his project. Not only is he revisiting the city itself, he also made sure to interact with the children there.
But luckily, Kai Cenat is not the only content creator doing something genuinely wholesome with his platform.
Other Content Creators Philanthropical Endeavors
Many other creators have also shown also how much good they can do with their platform and money. One of the biggest creators known for using his money for good is MrBeast. Whether you personally enjoy his content or not, it is undeniable that his channel Beast Philanthropy has helped hundreds of thousands of people. If you want to know more about some of the things he did on that channel, you can read about how MrBeast helped 1,000 people get long-awaited surgeries here.
And there are many more. Jacksepticeye hosts a big charity event called (almost) annual Thankmas, which has previously gained over $10 million in one year around Christmas time. There, he invites other content creators and usually manages to collect and donate millions of dollars to a wide range of charities.
In 2025 when there were big floods in Texas, streamer Maya Higa's animal sanctuary Alveus faced big issues. Though all animals were safe, the road to the sanctuary wasn't. This incident inspired a lot of streamers to come out and help her in person – streamer Agent for example not only worked to help drain all the water, he also raised money to help. Valkyrae donated $10,000 to help fund the new road.
